from his point of view though, he has be dealing with bigots for years, and although its terrible Its nothing new for him.
When he was playiong for the North of Ireland he was under threat for years and years, so what his family is dealing with, although terrible, is nothing new.

put that context to anyother walk of life an abused wife or child a slave or a black man because they have put up with it all their lives does that make it right ???

Buddha mate, you cant compare a slave or abused wife/child to what is happening to Neil Lennon.
You know the context and background of this particular situation, and its incomparible.

An abused woman, child or slave is powerless in their situations.
However Lennon has millions of supporters, friends and is a public figure. This gives him a certain type of power and empowerment that the others you mentioned simply dont have.

Lennon has a voice, and sticking with the terrible abuse he is getting highlights the bigotry and pettiness of a vast minority of sectarians

EDIt: Maybe getting used to is not the right expressions..........I would say he has become (possibly) partially densensitised
it is absolutely sickening though, and the sad thing is that even if he left the Tics he would still be in danger. Can hardly see him going into witness protection

Can't believe the guy got a "not-proven" verdict for his assault on Neil. Despite been witnessed by millions live on TV and actually ADMITTING the assault, all he was found guilty of was a breach of the peace! Astonishing!

I can only think it was because Neil Lennon was not physically harmed in any way.
I would have given him 6 months, this was an attack and should not be tolerated.
