As an outsider watching the rubbish being talked about Liverpool football club at the moment. How the players are making a million excuses about lack of form and not being played in the right position. I haven't heard too much about the players in the squad just not trying. Torres doesn't deserve his wages, he as hardly broken sweat this year yet the manager gets the boot and now I suppose Torres will start trying again. Are the owners so blind that they can't see that, yet they allow players to rule the roost. The players need a kick up the backside, not only at Liverpool but at most clubs, teams like Blackpool being the exception, they all try their very best for their club and their manager.

I totally agree fred, the fans at liverpool are ecstatic about dalglish taking the reins but he will need more than a magic wand to turn things around. They need 11 jamie carraghers with the same passion as he has if they are to challenge the likes of man united and chelsea, man city and arsenal. Looks like the title is being gifted to man united this season, because to many teams are under performing.

Just like to add as a lifelong Burnley fan how happy I am to see we had the sense to grab a bright young manager. He can have a long career at Turf Moor and unless one of the big clubs grab him we can have a few seasons of stability, all we need now is a few new players to strengthen the squad, watch out for the Clarets in the next few years.

Oh it is infuriating to see players with their head down, moaning all the time to refs, and fellow players but it swings both ways kinda. Im not taking blame off the pool players but hodgson just didnt know how to manage this group of players. Some of them are woeful but Torres is world class yet he isolated him up front on his own, draining his confidence even more after a dire world cup.This is just one example, another might be allowing lucas n ngog into Liverpool city in the first place, thats criminal. Dalglish will do better but not by much unless he gets a few quality players.
