| For me its got to be World Cup in 1994 in the USA. The frst World Cup ive experienced (and remembered vividly) and didnt our boys in green do the country proud. My Dad managed a bar at the time and had the place painted green white and orange and had massive cut outs of statue of liberty and jack charlton out the front. The place was packed and looking back at the photographs now brings a tear to my eye.so much passion and happiness. Anyways the tournmaent was fantastic overall and we managed to BEAT Italy (the only team to do so, Brazil beat em on pens baggios miss remember lol) Oh how we could do with a result like that on Saturday. come on lads, put em under pressure. |

| The Netherlands' football team's performance on WC '74. Everybody that knows football knows what they did (and forgot to do) and there's to much to say, so i'm not going to document it. baggio and penalties never had a happy marriage Last edited by FunkyG; 10-09-2009 at 07:05 AM.. |

| Ray Houghtons goal for Fulham at St James Park,October 1982,against a Newcastle side including Kevin Keegan. An unfancied Fulham team won 4-1. It was a spectacular goal and I remember seeing on Match of the Day when he wheeled away to celebrate , you didn't need to be able to Lip read to see that he was shouting "What a F***ing goal" ... it truely was |

| going to take you back a few years here to 1963,when our henry put the then cassius clay on the floor with henrys hammer, and clay was saved by the bell and quick work by his corner to split his glove ,giving him enough time to recover and beat our henry in the 5th

| Australia won the America's cup in 1983 after being in US hands for ever. I was in England at the time and it is the only time I remember that everyone in England was supporting us aussies. It was brilliant. |

| Come now Tel Clay had it all the way lol im just kidding i never seen that fight. But Ive seen countless replays of Ali vs Forman oh and i still get chills watching Ali pulverize Forman after leaning on ropes and lettin Forman (one of the hardest punchers ever) take shot after shot at him until he was tired out. no one could take a punch like Ali except maybe Frazier lol As far as seeing it as it happened my favorite moment is seeing Roger Clemens strike out 20 batters in a single baseball game for the second time in his career tying his own record. He did it first in 1986 and I seen him do it again in 1996 10 years later and every 1 said he was old and washed up I guess he didnt get the memo ) wow im gettin chills thinkin about it. In 1932 Babe Ruth hit his famous called shot in the world series with 2 strikes he points to strait away center field 440 feet away and hits the next pitch rite where he was pointing. I wasnt their obviously or their for Willie May's famous over the shoulder catch in the 1954 world series but its considered the greatest catch ever by many myself included. Us americans love our baseball or at least i do!!!
