Default Tipperary All-Ireland Hurling Win :)

Tipperary 4-17 Kilkenny 1-18

Three goals from Lar Corbett propelled Tipperary to their first All-Ireland title in nine years and ended the Black Cats' bid to win five consecutive titles.

A crowd of 81,765 filled GAA headquarters at Croke Park in Dublin to witness the tussle between the two counties. After a closely contested first half that saw Kilkenny ace Henry Shefflin succumb to his knee injury after just a dozen minutes, the men from Tipperary took a one point lead into the interval.

Two goals in a two-minute spell early in the second half pushed Tipp on the way to the title.

Although Kilkenny tried to make a comeback, Tipperary were not to be denied, and another Corbett goal in additional time at the end was the icing on the cake for manager Liam Sheedy's men.

Sally and Betty cheered the Tipp men on with 90% of the crowd in O'Neills

Please note if Tommyf plays later today or tomorrow he's probably drunk

Yeah that was some game Betty, 'Real Men' no diving or moaning to the refs with these boys. Great that Tipp won, but Kilkenny will be back with a vengeance next year

Awesome game, and great comeback, especially since Tipp's thrashing in the qualifiers. They did it the hard way, and outclassed a team with possibly the longest unbeaten run in the hurling, and maybe GAA in general
