| A question for the football experts. How would Brian Clough have dealt with the Ballerinas in the game at the moment. Torres, who never tried under Hodgson, now he at least smiles occasionally, would he be smiling if Clough had a go at him. When Brian signed Trevor Francis, the first million pound player, his first job was to take a brush and sweep the terraces. Clough fined his players if they argued with the referee, you don't get decisions in your favour if the ref is unhappy with your attitude, not hard to work out, if you expect a Manager to be successful he must have all his players under control, what he says should be how it will be, player power will kill the game, they should be happy to make a fortune in wages and sweat a bit for the team.

| Yep Fred times have changed, but I honestly don't think any of the owners these days would put up with Mr Clough. Torres is a great player and loyal. I travel to see the Reds whenever I can afford it and the service he was getting under the Hodgson regime was terrible. Luckily Liverpool still have that gem and Dalglish appears to be the man making that gem shine again.. |
