I was going to watch every game but decided that instead of that I'm going to use that time to play poker. Then I'm just going to watch the final to see the Aussies beat the Kiwi's.

Well England won their first match but I reckon they played bad for the first 60 minutes. Johnny's kick went walkabout for a while there.

I'm glad they won (as they should have) and I would love to see them reach the final, even though I'm backing the Aussie's, but they'll need to play a lot better if they want to reach the quarters.

been watching the rugby world cup

only time i ever watch the rugby is for the 6 nations and the world cup.

obv i'm only interested in Pool B and can say Romania and Georgia are gone but the big game for us is against Argentina on Sunday morning.

we made the games against Romania and Georgia difficult for ourselves but glad we got the 2 wins and sitting on 9 points and also expect England and Argentina to comfortably beat those 2 teams.

Yep we played very poorly indeed. Ireland were great and deserved their well earned win.
QF game should be interesting. If we play like we usually do we're still in with a crack at it for sure, but I reckon it's gonna be close. Go Aussies Go.

Valiant effort by Georgia even though they were never going to beat England. England gave away too many silly penalties and eventually paid the price going down to 14 men. But they won and that's what mattered.

Still reckon they will need to sharpen up and get off to a better start in their following games. Maybe they can use the one against Romania to get their act together ready to play Scotland.

Still disappointed with Australia's loss to Ireland, but just like England, if we get our act together we should do ok against USA and Russia. If we don't beat them then we don't deserve to go through.

This isn't a prediction, still early days, but I'm hoping it will be how things progress. Any thoughts anyone ?

Well if it pans out as I suggested (note that's not 'predicted' lol) I must admit it would be a tough run of games for the Aussies. But if they are on top form, i.e. better than so far, then I reckon they can have a good shot at it

As for Ireland.....you may be right but at the moment I think you need to keep and eye out for Wales, they might just nip in there in QF1 ?

Yea I reckon your spot on there ww. The Scotland Argentina game was great wasn't it. One of the best so far and was pretty tough on both sides.

One step at a time. Ireland's next game is against Italy. We just managed to get the better of them in our most recent 6 Nations game. I agree with you about Wales. They're a tough match for anyone. Anyhow, can anyone recommend a nice breakfast wine to go with bacon, sausage, fried egg and black and white pudding. Ireland's game is at 8.30 AM on sunday morning
