Something not right,sepp blatter said after awarding both world cups,we are taking football to new places.now to me the other bidding teams never stood a chance with this statement.like guv said done deal ages ago,all the other bidding nations waste 18 months an countless millions putting bids together which fifa knew never stood a chance.

If i were on the committee choosing where the World cup takes place i doubt if i would be swayed by a pretty presentation or a few good technical points? Whatever about Prince William showing up but David Cameroon? If we had prior knowledge that fifa is corrupt by way of the panorama program, then why was our Prime Minister and a future King out there.

If we know that these bodies are corrupt in the first place, we either remove ourselves completely away from them or we do what the rest seem to do which is to supply delegates with free holidays etc.

At least we dont have to kiss FIFA'S ass anymore.Speaking as a bluenose i dont think what happened at our ground in the derby game with the vile would of had anything to do with loosing the bid.No doubt the panarama program would of irratated a few but dirty money talks more than anything else in big business.Not just the russians but also the mighty fooballing nation of Quatar winning their bid .It all stinks !Football is dying in a pool of greed ....backhand deals ,football agents and premadonna footballers with no loyalty to the fans on massive wages as well as the bullsh** coming from the top at FIFA.
