| This will surely rumble on and on and I'm sure the football afficionados on here will all have their opinions. For what it's worth here are mine. Pushing aside my thoughts about players wages and the fact that they hardly care if the club goes under while they build a huge bank balance the question remains, should one player be allowed to hold a club to ransom after he chose to join then decided that he could earn more elsewhere. I feel the players union was brought in to aid players being treated badly, robbed of their rights, brow beaten by the rich clubs when they had a bad run of form. I'm talking about the ordinary guy who plays his heart out for his club, his employer, he doesn't have the power to hold his club to ransom therefore he needs the players union to support him but Tevez is a completely different kettle of fish, he must be rich beyond our wildest dreams yet he thinks he can hold the club to ransom. How should Man City treat him, should they go cap in hand and try to make up knowing he will certainly count that as a great victory and know he can use the ploy again whenever he wants. Or should they leave him stewing on the bench the whole season knowing that bids will eventually come in for him. It looks as if it's now a choice between the manager and the player, who would you kick out? Daddyspoon is the man on the spot, I'll hand the microphone over to our resident expert.

| Well in all fairness when you spend millions on a load of top end strikers, they're all gonna want to be playing all the time. And if it turns out they're unhappy, then it becomes a mission to sell them due to the huge transfer fees... I do think that tevez is just being a selfish twat though to be honest. Completely out of order. In the end I think they'll probably just loan him like they did with adebayor.

I think he's off to do one of the best seasons of his life... He just fits in perfect. Really dont see where Tevez fits in with that sort of attitude.

| why even waste a bench spot for someone who doesnt want to play. sod him, let him train on his own when they are playing see how he likes that.

| more proof that money has spoilt the game, and that a player thinks he's bigger than the club!!!Stick him in the stiffs (reserves) every week playing in front of a few hundred people.Dont sell him because i think thats what he done it for, and he will have got his own way.Players like this need to be made an example of, fine him the maximum you can and occasionally treat him to a seat on the bench, but never let him get on the pitch.Make him train on his own, after everyone else has gone home, and treat him like a child as thats the way he acting !!
