 Advice please being driven crazy by my tilting. made me lose 8 LPs and 25m a while back. Since started playing probably again about a week ago, hovered just under 1m once in this time, and average about 70-100k a day. However, I alwas tilt awfully after a series of bad beats. for example, today I tilted after losing four hands 1st my AA v 2d8h . flop A,5d,10d turn Qd river 3d (bet 30& of stack pre flop, then all in was called post flop) 2nd my KhQh V 7h3c flop Kd,Qc,7c turn: 2d river 7s.Called all in pre flop These are just two of 5 hands in a short enough period of time. Its known river hates me(not as much as Deano though) I guess main point I am writing is for advise. Baz,Dean, Donkey, Fillero, KC, Roo, Worzel and other peeps gave me advice throughout my time here,something I deeply appreciate, and KC in particular has spent time and energy giving me advise . But I just can't control my frustration and end up calling everything with lowest flopped pair etc really need someone to get my had fixed. The strange thing is this only happens against the idiots who are usually on the mid to low blind tables, and although am slightly aggressive as a player, the regulars here know that is not me when I play serious competition please help, I am at the stage where i get headaches

| only advice i can give m8,is leave the table after a bad beat. the old saying of dont get mad get even dont work in poker,luck plays a big part and if the gods aint smiling get out. even a 10 min break might help,gl m8

| hi m8, i find it hard to control my frustration after a couple of bad beats aswell, i tilt quite easily and its never a good idea to play when on tilt. what i try to do now is just leave the table when im on tilt, even if im down alot and feel like i need to win it back, i still leave the table and come back when ive calmed down a bit lol have a lil break then come back and play with a fresh head again and ull start winning ur money back. if ur tilted in a tourney u just have to try and control it and just say "right that hands over, next hand!" its hard but no1 can advise u on how to control ur frustration u need to figure it out urself lol

| My advice to you what I do myself either I sit out few hands and watch TV or play with my dogs, the other is leave the table for few minutes, and the last thing is change seats,

| Just gotta leave it CI. My middle name is TILT!!!! lost millions and millions,did it the other day in the BC,had a 10000 chip lead at the final table,only to tilt out in 9th place.Like you im just learning how to handle it,but it seems the going advice is to get the hell outta there! Chin up pal |

| ok i posted the link from a old thread last night as i wasnt on the forum for long but now iv got a bit more time i thought id try and pass on a pesonal tip that i find helps me as like you i am a player that is prone to tilt .. i find when i tilt or am close to it the best way for me to pull my self out of it is to take my game right back to a mathmatical levle and take the amotion out of the game.. as you can imagen this is harder than youd think as by now you have a read or a opinon on the players at the table and evrything you know about poker tells you to use this imfo so to stop yourself gose aganst evrything youd nornaly do so as a way to over come this i will stay where i am but also open a 2ed or ethen a 3ed table so i find my self over ocupid meaning i only have time to glance at my hand / flop / bet and make a disition baste on the math of that hand ..... like i say this is only a personal thing and may not work for you but i have found it helps me so it could be werth a try |

| Dunno if it would work for ya mate but maybe remind yourself it's only free chips poker, so your playing it purely for fun. Then if your getting frustrated and annoyed just ask yourself "Am I having fun?" Straight away you'll answer "No I'm not" so you'll quit that game, have a few mins break, come back chilled and ready to play for fun without putting the pressure back on yourself. You'll come back playing your game rather than your emotions. Hope that makes sense, dunno if it will help, easy to say but not always so easy to do at times. Good luck mate.

Geez...hehe...  ps i STILL haven't got a ''real'' bankroll started in real life,just been a very slow start.Lol.Couple of placings here and there,that's about it.But still enjoy playing,so i go when i can. And here,i never bother with legend points and all that anymore.But that's just me.I keep enough to play some tourns when i want,and i'm happy.When bad luck hits(it does to everyone) sure i scream and get mad.Then i tell my ego to shut the h*ll up and i get on with my day. | Whether your playing real money or practise chips, try and remember that if you go on tilt, your not ontop of your game your not playing with the rational thought process you would normally stick to,so either take a break or GET A GRIP !!  ,whenever you play, you want to play your best,so tell yourself off but dont beat yourself up,its poker you will often find a plonker on a table that will call anything deal with it and pick your moments and if your unlucky hey ho , and try again next hand
