I agree with Roo - loose player vs. tight player. A call would be tempting, but I think I would fold most of the time. It all depends on whether I was in a loose mode or a tight mode myself.

There is another factor that I firmly believe in. Winning comes in bursts. You will get on a hot streak then the hot streak will move on to another player. This sometimes influences my decision.

I really like these hand analysis - it helps me think of how I should play a hand. Lately I have kind of been playing on auto pilot.

yes it's a must for a poker forum, I've heard some pro players never read a poker book and only annalyzed & discussed hands for millions of hours on forums
There is always something to learn at poker

very true, when i speant the weekend with baz and kev and co. baz and i talked alot about poker, he taught me as much about poker in two days, as i have learned in 18 months here. i remember after about a month of playing here,i thought i knew all there was to know about poker, then a few months down the line, i realized i`d only scratched the surface. and even baz said he learns new things every week.

IT'S NICE TO READ THESE KINDS OF THREADS, THEY CAN ONLY HELP US ALL BECOME BETTER PLAYERS. IMPUT FROM PEOPLE WHO I CONSIDER TO BE DECENT PLAYERS IS ALWAYS GOOD TO READ. KEEP IT UP FOLKS, IF WE KEEP GOING AT THIS RATE, SOMETIME NEXT YEAR I MIGHT JUST KNOW WHICH ONE IS MY ARSE AND WHICH ONE IS MY ELBOW.

SERIOUSLY THOUGH, GOOD THREAD

if it was a tourney, and going to take you out if you called and lost, then a defo fold i think
