bluffing a dead pot

i dont understand this play,when some one bets a dead pot against an all in,it made me fold but lost to the all in when i would have taken that player out of tourny,this is not against jock he had gone all in ,and i just checked down to river only to be bluffed off by nothing can anyone explain?

Actually m8,if someone wants to throw you off your game,or does'nt want you to win a pot for whatever reason(you're running hot,they're trying to take you out...) then i can see that play happening...i also understand that A)sometimes we click the wrong button.It happens.We're in another game,or eating dinner,or watching sports on tv.
(yes i've done all 3 at once.)
B)They're doing it just to see what happens or see how you/everyone may react...
C)They're doing it.No reason.It happens.

I must admit it I was a bit shocked by that one. I was short stacked and took a chance on my A7 and when you called it I was already "standing up" I don't know the guy so I cant comment on his normal style of play but one would have to question his poker knowledge. It kept me in the tourney ( for a few more hands) but I have to say it's not Poker as we know it, and play like this is one of the reasons that I am being a lot more selective about which games I play just lately.

The answer to your thread lies amongst what K/C has posted, Im inclined to agree with, he pushed the wrong button because we have all done it. But then again if he was a decent enough player he would of said and saved you the need for this thread. So looks like your still in a quandry Tel. Then again he might of turned red and turned the computer off with embarrasment. Steve.
