| i dont think im a great poker player yet,but from over two years experience of playing online poker ive learnt to deal with bingo play. most bingo play is in the early stages of a tourny when the blinds are only 10/20 15/30 ,dont feed there rush by calling there big raises and all in bets use the fold button and let them get frustrated at only nicking small blinds, use your position at the table no good calling in early position you might end up with three or four in the hand which reduces your chances of winning if your in late position with a prem hand and just the one big caller or all in bet thats your chance but be prepared its down to luck on the showdown, but if your beat its not a bad beat just a beat. i tend to wait till the blinds raise up in the game to 50/100 75/150 before i consider playing any all in bet most of the bingo players have gone by then and the real poker game starts. you should have a read on the table by now ,and you know the aggressive players same again wait for the good hands in a good position to take them on but remember some one who is short stacked is going to push you all in if your not prepared to call that bet dont throw your chips away by flat calling. hope that helps some of you and like i say im no expert but a few years exp of sitting back and laughing at some of the play on the tables is fun, remember a tourny can last over two hours dont rush to try and win the bingo players chips theres time for that later ![]() good luck to all on the tables

| i'm sad enough to have made player notes on most of u lol and without causin offense to any1 i do have a few 'donkeyyyyy's written in the boxes! ive noticed that a lot of peeps play tight at the beginning, but i use the beginning to try and build up my stack so when the blinds go higher i dont have to worry so much, but then i'm no expert and usually get booted cos of this lol. i've hit a few final tables in my first days here but i know ive got a lot to learn about online poker and ive picked up some tips from readin through these forums. its nice to read about how other people see things, specially for those of us who are just gettin used to it nice post. |

| Tel could not agree with you more. Tend to wait until the poker is played rather than chancing my arm at bingo play.

| ok time for the bingo king (lmao) to add his two cents couldnt agree more with you Tel donkey play is donkey play and the donkeys will lose out in the long run however as an aggressive player i will take them on if i get a hand i believe will beat them sometimes getting that early chip boost can get get you through to the final table comfortably and a calculated risk can often pay off its all in the timing ![]()

| I enjoyed reading this thread. It teaches a lot of aspects of the game. Thanks everyone for sharing their opinions with us newbies. Well, with that being said, I played with Kay in many many tournaments so far. And never an opinion came to mind that she's a bingo player. She's aggressive yes. But NEVER a bingo player. She doesn't all in twice or thrice in a row. She's a great player and a great friend. Her style reminds me of JB's or Rez's. I may be wrong, but they are great players. I respect them much. Sometimes, in ring games I meet a lot of "nice all-in" players but to compare them to Kay is an overstatement. Overall, good luck to you all in tournaments and especially me lol.Love you Missy. Please try to understand that some ladies just like gentlemen have a habit of aggressively attacking their lovely pots. ![]() |

Btw love u2 Bonik but you didnt answer my friend request yet(lol) cy soon ![]() |

| Well to quote SternSwiss I believe, poker is a game of information. So playing against a bingo player is tough because the amount to call is so high (but that pressure is a pressure you need to get used to in poker), but what's really the issue is this tough decision is being made with no information. If you see ME going all in preflop you know I have what's most likely to be the best hand. However if you see a guy going all in every hand you do not have any information one way or the other. Yes you can assume that if they do it non stop that any given hand is average, but that's tough. One mini mammoth, I called a bingo player after the 3rd or 4th hand because I had AQ and was fed up and not wanting to wait 30 minutes and turns out he has KK. So how do you play against it? If someone is good but not great there are a few ways to beat them. However, if somone is playing absolutely horrid poker (like bingo play) then there is definitely more than one way to beat them. If we're talking PURE bingo, like nothing but all in preflop everytime they act. Then simple wait for a good hand. How good? You may have to wait a hundred hands or so for AA or KK, and AK isn't even a 2 to 1 against a random hand. No matter what, it will be a risk. It just depends how much of a risk you want to make. Honestly if we were early stages 10 seater tourney and no one else seems to want to take them out, I would only call with pairs probably 10s or better. If that's taking too long I'd do 99 too and AK or possibly AQs. If it's going several rounds and you don't have one of those hands yet, just chop it up to bad luck. If blinds have been around even as often as 5 times though no biggie. The blinds are small. So if bingo players are so hard to play against, how come that doesn't mean they are good players. Well poker is like war. Bingo players are like kamikaze pilots. They pose a threat, but as to their own well being, there are better soldiers. So bingo players likely cause the most casualties. If poker were solely about number of folds caused, they'd be best. But honestly for everytime the bingo player wins there are easily more than 10 times they don't even make top 10%. Now if this question goes to just aggressive poker players, like Kay in this example (though she's a lot less agressive these days), instead of strictly bingo players then it's different. Each aggressive player is different and require a different approach. Gus Hansen and Phil Ivey are very aggressive, but I guarantee you the advice I could give to take out the donk in the first two levels of British Crown will not be sufficient in taking them out. Ok hope this is what you were asking for when you wanted my 2 cents. If you want any more details or specific questions I can get back to this though. |

| I love bingo players. Surely most of us are here to win at poker ( OK, I accept some people are here for the comaraderie, chat, fun of it, etc etc ). Now the easiest way to win, free chips or cash, is to find weaker players than yourself. And the weakest player of the lot is the bingo player. Sure they will hit sometimes, you will suffer the odd suckout, but if, in the long run, you can't be up overall against the bingo players, I suggest you find an alternative pastime. And don't give me those sob stories about how they spoil the game, or they 'always' seem to hit.
