This little tip is directed towards cash game players. Online poker rooms and live poker rooms always tend to have a maximum buy-in for their NL cash games. The maximum is generally set at around 100 big blinds. So in a $0.50/$1.00 blind game the maximum buy-in would be $100 for instance.

If you are a solid winning player you should generally always want to be playing as deep stacked as possible. Playing 100bb+ deep allows you room to makes moves, play more speculative hands, pound your positional advantage on your opponents even more and of course get the maximum possible value out of your hands.
