Ok, imagine you have a real good hand like four of a kind, a straight flush or even a Full House for example, what is the best way to extract chips from your opponents without scaring them off by betting high or going all in? Since moving up to playing the higher tables i have found it a lot harder to win a decent amount of chips when i have a good hand. I put this down to the higher calibre players im playig against and their ability to read the game better. Also, i realise its not always about having the best hand to achieve a decent win of chips. Im not really one to try and bluff my way to a win but im guessing im going to have to intruduce bluffing into my style of play. How do you go about extracting chips from your opponent whether you have a good hand or not?

Let them bet first and if they don't, bet when a low card comes down. At the river, raise any bet or bet blind if nobody does bet... call any all-in !!! Bluffing is a different game... good players spot bluffing relatively easily, they'll fold when they know they have a bad hand, otherwise, be ready to pay the price !!! Patience is what pays best...

Excellent question. Case in point last night playing in the big tourney I was dealt Q6 and flopped QQQ , nice one I thought. I was first to bet and I didn't want to strong it so I checked, as did evryone else , cant remember what came out on the turn but I applied the same tactics and again everyone checked. Ace came out on the River and I thought.. If I raise everyone will fold. So I checked for 3rd time with 4 Queens hoping that there was a full house out there that would raise me. But Alas the four ladies only won me the blinds. Did I do the right thing. Or should I have just gone ALL-IN on the flop?

| As with many similar questions, I think the answer is dependant on the table you are playing. Some tables, everyone may be playing tight, others not, you gonna have to read this and decide for yourself the best tactic at the time.

you should have bet small on the turn... and eventually bet small again on the river... but QQQ is very hard to leverage...

i agree with bad. if noones has anything noone will ne betting and you will win a small pot. you have to hope that someone has something and you have to bet something and hope that they call. and future i guess that you will take this the wrong way BUT, the truth is the truth, and the truth here is that if you dont know what to do in that situation you will not last very long on the big tables. i hope that you listen well. gl on the big tables they can be brutal hahahaahah
