Talking A guide for newbies show odds and what hands beat what.

Royal Flush
#1
The Royal Flush is the best hand in poker, Texas Holdem included. It consists of the Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and 10 of any one suit. In Texas Hold'em, only one player can be holding a Royal Flush at a time, and they are unbeatable.

A♥ K♥ Q♥ J♥ 10♥ 649,739 to 1

Straight Flush
#2 A Straight Flush is a poker hand consisting of any five cards of consecutive value, that are also of the same suit (making it a Straight and a Flush). If two players hold Straight Flushes, the one with the Straight Flush containing the card of highest value wins the hand.

5♠ 6♠ 7♠ 8♠ 9♠ 64,973 to 1

Four of a Kind
#3 Four of a Kind is a poker hand with four cards of the same value, one of each suit. In the highly unlikely event of two players having four of a kind, the player with the higher value four of a kind wins.

K♠ K♦ K♣ K♥ 4,164 to 1

Full House
#4 A Full House is a hand in poker consisting of three cards of the same value (three of a kind) and two cards of another particular value (a pair). If two players have a full house at the same time, the player with the three of a kind of higher value wins. If it's a tie, the winning hand is the one with the higher value pair. If it's still a tie, the pot is split evenly between the two players.

8♦ 8♠ 8♣ 5♦ 5♠ 693 to 1

Flush

#5 A Flush is a poker hand that's got any five cards of the same suit. If multiple players have flushes, the player with the flush containing the card of highest value is the winner.

J♣ 2♣ 6♣ 4♣ 9♣ 508 to 1

Straight
#6 A straight is a poker hand consisting of 5 cards of consecutive value, regardless of suit. If two players hold straights, the straight containing the card of highest value is the winning hand. If both players have straights of equal value, the pot is split evenly between them.

4♣ 5♠ 6♣ 7♦ 8♥ 254 to 1

Three of a Kind
#7 Three of a Kind is a poker hand made up of three cards of the same value, each of a different suit. If two players have three of a kind, the three of a kind made of higher value cards is the winning hand.

3♥ 3♠ 3♣ 46 to 1

Two Pairs
#8 Two Pairs is a poker hand consisting of two cards of the same value, and two cards of another particular value. If multiple players of two pairs, the player with the highest pair is the winner. If it's a tie, the player with the second highest pair is the winner. If it's a tie again, the player with the highest kicker (remaining card) is the winner. If even that's a tie, the pot is split evenly.

8♣ 8♦ 5♠ 5♣ 20 to 1

One Pair
#9 One Pair is a poker hand with a mere two cards of the same value. If multiple players have one pair, then the one pair of highest value is the winning hand. If it's a tie, the player with the next highest value card is the winner. If that's also a tie, move on to the next highest card, and then the next. If it's still a tie, the pot is split evenly.

J♥ J♦ 1.25 to 1

No Pair
#10 If no one has any of the preceding hands, then the player with the highest card in their hole is the winner. If it's a tie, the next card is consulted. If that too is a tie, the pot is split.

K♠ 1 to 1

wait if a nor pair is 25 to one, that means every 25 hands yields only one pair.

However, almost every hand in a table has atleast a pair. How so?
