I need a tip. When playing with ten other players should I even bother playing a high card with a 2. For example if I have an ace 2 someone always has an ace with a higher card then me. Advice?

i would play the flop if no raises and go for 2 pair or straight. no more bet after flop unless have those hands. pair of aces is worse then nothing, fold.

You must chose. If they are suited maybe. I never play a2 with 10 players!!! But there are different types of player some of them play every hand if it is not too expensive too see flop even 46 can win a hand. It is up too you too play and chose your style.

AHAHA. i got a 2 3 offsuit and folded it preflop. a 3 and a 2 come on the flop. In the end, the pot was won by a pair of 8's hand.

That's the beauty of poker :-) If you get an A2 unsuited, then you could call the flop depending on the cost of the call. If they're suited, it's worth slightly more (flush) so more likely to be worth a call. If you have K2 then the answer; FOLD FOLD FOLD! You're playing with a handicap as you really only have the king to play on. If a king does come out, it can still be beaten by AA, 2 pair, straight etc. If a king doesn't come out, then you're down to high card king, and with 10 players someone will beat that hand ![]()

Well, in table of 10's, its best to only play high ranked hands. In tables of 5's, you can relax a little with the hands, because there is less chances that they won't have a specific hand.

ace-2 or k-2 is a very hard hand to play. only time I play this hand is when the blinds are very low, then I'll see a flop. One thing you must remember is that your kicker is a very important card. Remember a 2 kicker will loose 100% of the time! Good luck, hope this helps.

Depends on size of the table.

Definately. I would fold anything from A2 - A9 on a full table of 10 players unless I was on the button and nobody else had called. However on Heads up I would possibly even go ALL-IN .

in my experince you get beaten about 60% of the time with a low kicker

true, like jockney said, heads up, i`d go all in aswell. but if there is at least5 players, i`d allways fold, even suited, because suited only improves the hand by 5%

I always fold or check if I have a K2 at a table with 10 players or in a tournament.

With ten players at the table, its highly unlikely that no one else holds a king. If a king doesn't come up, you lose. If a king does come up, you lose. You'd have to make two pair to win this hand. Decision: FOLD. |

The simple answer is to fold when you have a bad kicker, it will save you chips in the long run.

i rarely play 'm because you get mostly beaten with the low kicker. but with max 4 players it's ok to play 'em and for example, a-4s is playable with 10 players because it has potential for nut flush.
