watch the straight like matador said but you could easily get a full house which would beat a straight.

Yeah... i always seem to be beaten by a flush or a straight with those kinds of flops. I guess anything can happen in poker huh

I wouldnt be folding it lightly.. But I would be careful.. Especially if after the river.. Only one card was needed for str8 or flush..

Bet the set and let others pay to chase you. Even if they have four to a flush or straight after the flop, they have at best a 35% chance of making their hand. Just do not bet to low whereby the pot odds encourages them to challenge you.

Yeah bet high (2/3 of the pot) so the odds of chasing the str8 or flush are not in favour of your opponenents and their calling would be a mistake.

You might get called and loose in the end but it would be the proper play.

And if you hit the full house on turn do consider slowplaying it.

Yup, SternSwiss is correct.

Even if they have Q 10 in hand or only need one card to make a flush, they only have 35% (or just under) chance of getting those cards.
If the pot is 100 and you raise by anything over 40, you're making the right move odds wise.

My advice would be to raise by about 80, it's not a huge raise, such that if the straight is completed then you don't stand to lose much, but its not too high that someone won't call you.

Bare in mind that the chances of them having Q 10 or the flush to start with is low.
