| As you are on low tables go all in i m sure somebody will call!!! For higher tables well raise depends about how high blinds are and your chips stack. Last edited by Danzi; 07-22-2008 at 09:40 AM.. |

| playing aces! 'experience' is the best way to play aces, which you will have to learn for yourself. I could tell you how I'd play them, but I will play them differently every time. My one thought is - the best pockets, doesnt always make the best hand.

| I agree Aces are very tricky to play. Depending on position and chip stack and how many players in a hand. You have to experiment to find out what works the best. Some people get scared and just go all in. You have to decide if you want callers, or just want to take down the pot with your bet. ![]() |

| I hate the wee bandits!...If I have them and someone goes All In then I'll call as my hand should be better, unless they've AA too?...However slow playing them some poxy 6,3 usually gets a staight...So its a hard call...They're just so unpredictable...Recon I've seen them loose more than win tho...so be on your guard...theyre not invincible...Sox |

| All in pre-flop is always a roll of the dice, even with pocket aces. With experience, knowing your opponents will help you decide what to do. But in any case, with pocket aces a strong bet is wise. 3-5 times big blind at least. That way, when a pair of Kings comes out on the flop, you haven't lost everything. Unless you have fallen in love with your pair and did not have the wisdom to fold.

| It seems situational to me. If there's some betting fool, use him as a decoy to get a nice juicy pot, but you usually want to be all in after most any flop. If everyone's calling, bet enough to get the pot conspicuously large, like your remaining stack, then all in is more subtle and often someone will call, or you just get a free big pot. Hell, if lots of people are going all in all the time, do it preflop, but you actually don't want too many in after the flop. On the other hand, if the table is real anal, not sure, you might waste em on a big bet that everyone folds. Play it by ear, make a bet you think 1 or 2 will call, then depending on the flop (beware 3 of a suit, pairs, connected cards) escalate from there. Not an exact science. |

| I tend to go all in with Aces. If no one calls, you pick up the blinds. If however, you raise say three times the blind, you might have 3 or 4 people that call you. When the flop comes up and a few of them make pairs, they will start calling you now and this suddenly your hand becomes much more fragile. All in is a risk, but a calculated risk. Get as many people to fold as early on as possible. If you can find a better way of doing that than all in pre-flop, I'm open to suggestions ![]()

| The bet you want to make is one that will just give one other player calling pre flop. If you are heads up, odds are you will win. If you make a bet and 2 or more players call, odds are you will lose. So you have got to read the table and figure out how the other players are going to react. If you overbet and everybody folds, then its not the end of the world as you have picked up whatever is in the pot, but if you underbet and get multiple callers ( which is likely to happen with free chips ), then you could be in a sticky situation. Comes with experience, says me having played for about 6 months, so what do I know, lol.
