No player is strong, only cards are. Don't strategize too much on the other, because scaring people is easy when they to try to find the right reaction to 'good players'. 'Good player' usually have a high stack, meaning that taking risks is not as dangerous/expensive as when you have a small stack. Many players fold because they are scared of loosing their stack, but they only rely on their feelings. Not the reality of statistics, which is often better than they think, if they know it.

Sorry but I don't agree with that at all. I can go to a table with nothing and leave with a big stack regardless of the cards I have.

A bad player can start a game well with good cards. But a good player will finish it with any!!!

I thought that there must be some brilliant threads buried in this forum and I really like this one.
Baz's comment ^ is a classic.
I'm really not suprised the thread ended there. Perhaps I shouldn't be posting and spoiling that but how else could I re-erect it.
And not one banned member

There are people who would say that to win a game of poker, you need the hands because at the end of the day, it is a game of chance and its how the cards fall.
In my opinion, my game suffers because I don't bluff enough.
As think about this, I am probably right in saying that I don't push as often as I should when stacked up.
I could well be letting people off the hook when I am a shorter stack too.
Not only does this hinder me in-game but also effects my bank roll due to not taking the necessary calculated risks.

There are differences LFC the people above earned all their chippies the hard way and knew what hands they were holding , what outs they had etc or they were at least willing to learn, they also knew what they were willing to lose if necessary on an unsuccesful bluff. In other words they played POKER (They also learned each others style of play without silly stars over their heads)

Now people seem to see an Ace in their hand go all in then complain when they are beat. This isnt bluffing or bullying its just plain stupid if none of the above factors are taken into account.

I don't bluff well so pretty much given up on it, but have learnt to stand packed if I have a good hand, sometimes i get beat by better hands but that happens to us all. Think other players have learnt that if i bet I have something worth playing, my friend Tidds told me once that I was too easy to bluff and that was true, if someone over bet me i'd fold even with a good hand, so now thanks to Tidds I have learnt to be a stronger player. Thanks Tidds!

I agree rad! you gotta learn to stand your ground, our philosophy is similar.however every now and then I will bluff,Its usually a game changer when I do it.I mean your sittin there and all you get is 6/2 for anhour,so i believe you can make some things happen for yourself in your gameplay.
