| Im not one hundred percent sure i fully understand the seating positions, for example whereabouts the guy who went all-in with 72 and wether he was called or not, but nevertheless, my read on this table is; its medium loose and we've had at least one all-inner. Now, the hand in question is the hand directly after the all-in bet, in my opinion this might put a bit of doubt in some players minds and possible force them to fold because of the risk of this guy doin it again. Villian, however, has took a chance and limped in with 2h 7c and gets to see the flop without any reraise. He now holds pair 7's with a possible flush if the cards come good. Hero calls and evryone folds except villian. He now has a decision to make. Obviously thinking hero has a pair of Aces or tens, or even a flush draw. But concidering that hero has folded most of his hands since being seated i would hazard a guess he holds pair Aces. With that in mind i would call to see the turn card possing the question to hero that i too have a hand. If the turn card was to be a Heart, depending on whether hero checked or bet villian could push a bluff bet showing he has a flush. But in this case its a Kc so villian checks, which in my opinon is a correct move. Hero bets half the pot which again in my opinon is the right move but villian calls probably still hoping for a 7 or a heart card to then make a bluff move. bearing mind there is a possible straight too if either one of them was holding j q. But the river is a 2d wich gives villian two pair and hero pair aces with a raggy 3. Now, there is no flush but a possible straight, which is unlikley due to the betting pattern by both, or 2 pair which villian holds and bets nearly 4 x the pot. In this case for Hero he should fold. And in villians case he was lucky he hit the 7 on the river but there is no way of knowing whether he may have chanced his hand, pair of 7s, if the 7 on the river didnt hit.
To conculde i think Hero was correct the way he bet but it was the type of bet to say 'Hey! i have an Ace' and as for villian he was brave enough to call heros bets which paid off in the end.
I think villain played the player as opposed to the hand. |
