Default Loose tables.

I have been watching show called "High States Poker" for a while now, and i really enjoy how players make decisions and evaluate their chances. Usually i am inspired by the show and come to play here right after. But here its crazy twister where i usually end up losing.

Heres an example:
Player 1 - 20,000 chips
Player 2 - 14,000 chips
Player 3 - 1,000 chips
Player 4 - 1,000 chips
Player 5 - 1,000 chips
Player 6 - 460 chips
Player 7 - 4,800 chips
Me - 3,500 chips

So game starts and some1 raises preflop to 500, i with my King and 4 offsuit fold, cos i am not ready to take risk. Everyone call while it goes to "1000 chips guys" wich naturally call anything and put all in. First two players clash like carzy with final bets like 6,000-10,000. So total in all pots theres half of AT LEAST ALL TABLE'S BANKROLL TOTAL or more. Then ppl reveal cards and, naturally, noone has anything suited all offsuit, and even worse ppl go all in with hand like 8/3, J/6 offsuit. I just dont understand it. Ppl go away and change and i'm waiting for legitimate hand, then i get A/K suited and at last i also go all in. And the flop is 2 nines and three. And some1 makes fullhouse, so it dont even matter if i get king/ace or a flush.

I really dont understand how to play these tables.... I can rebuy how much time i want. If i dont get lucky, i lose;/ Any advices?

I think what you are seeing is the by-product of not using real money. At a live event no normal person would go all in with 2 4 off suit. However on some of the tables there are kamikazi players who are looking to double up or steal the blinds by betting big knowing that they can go back to the window and get more chips.

Often if they do win the hand they will stand up and then sit right back down with the minimum buy in. This is called Banking your win.

If you encounter this I would suggest moving to another table as these people eventually will burn themselves out, but it can be very frustrating.

Another suggestion is to aquire as many of the bonus chips from the forum as you can an that wll give you a big enough stake to move to the middle tables where play is a little more reasonable.

Also, pick a table and open the window so you can watch for a while and see who is playing and what the style of play is.

If you are looking for an opportunity to play and learn at the same time the mini-tournaments are great for that. You may get the odd All-In on the first hand, but the mini's usually settle down pretty quick and you can gain excellent experience as well as a strong ROI (return on investment) with pretty low risk.

Hope this helps.

Tex

Yeh i have tryed tournaments, theyre pretty cool. 1k Turbo tourney is my favorite, and 5k turbo is second favorite, at 5k there usually are pretty strong players(for my level of gameplay) so need to be prepared to play them^_^ Gotta figure something out. And about bonus chips dont think theyre very useful, cos you lose them anyway, and you can get bonus only once... And btw i dont really know where to go to claim them anyway
