next player goes all in
the other 2 follow
so we have 4 person game
chips are even
you have pocket 9's and everyone else is all in

i decided discretion was the better part of valor and folded

By folding you can finish in the money directly so the right move is a fold for sure (even if "in the money" means just your buyin back to you) :

If you fold : You're in the money
If you call : Obviously you will face at least 3-4 overcards and got at max a 30% winning chance I would say... And certainly a higher pair which would kill your chance again!

i would have folded AA in that situation...

Was going to say so : you have nothing more than a pair preflop and need to fold AA too there if you want to focus on money
