| Hi all, we all know those bad hands you do normally not play, e.g. 4 9 offsuit. But isn't it a good idea to play them, when you are at a ring table with 9 other players that all play their hands? If so many play in that game, you can suppose that probably all aces, kings and queens are on their hands, so there is a higher chance for getting lower cards on the flop, turn and river. So, is it good to play those hands for example if 8 players called a raise?! |

| Hi, personally I rarely ever play these kinds of hands, no matter how many is playing. There is alot of times that I would have won with low cards had I stayed in, but thats poker right? Theres alot of times when you stay in with high cards and only low cards flop. ![]() |

| It's all about risk and r u willing to take it? If nothing comes on the Flop I would through away the hand and save my chips..otherwise you could always try the bluff and then is it really worth the risk?? Good luck |

| if the blinds are low enough,or if i'm already one of the blinds it might be worth it to call or try a smallish raise.but be prepared 2 dump the hand if nothing hits,or gets re-raised. |

| you can only play those cards on late position, but don't expect to get many chips in that way... i play low cards only if they are connectors |

| I agree, if there's more people in play obviously the percentage of your hand is lower ![]() If everyone at the table (8-10 players) calls to see the flop then you're gonna need a primo hand (AA KK QQ AK AQ AJ etc)........or get lucky with some mediocre cards ![]()

| Dont you just hate it when you fold say a 4 & 9 then the flop dishes out a 4 & two 9's I understand what you're saying treestrong, but be aware that some people call with whatever cards they have as opposed to others who call only when they have high cards like you say. |

| just simply follow the gap-concept. you need a better hand to call someone than to bet. the more people who call the better your starthands need to be |

| Let's take 4 and 9 as you're example hand. More likely than not, to win the pot you're going to need to hit two pair or better, probably by the flop as it won't be worth calling to see the turn and the river. If you hit a pair of 9's, likelyhood is someone else will have too, and will have a better kicker. If you hit a pair of 4's, then there'll still be a higher card in the flop someone has paired. Sure there is a possibility of you making a set or a full house in which you can earn a fair few chips, but by the time you've got that hand, you'll have lost around 90% of your chips and what you win won't break even with what you started. Basically - Don't bother wasting your chips with such crappy cards. You can use the chips you've saved to earn more when you do get dealt some great cards too.
