![]() The most important of all poker tips is to not play too many starting hands. While in Texas Holdem it's true that "any two cards can win" poker is not about winning hands, it's about winning money. The tendency to play too many weak hands is the easiest way to tell the difference between a good and a bad player. At low limits without any great knowledge of post-flop play it is sometimes possible to win money simply by playing more tight pre-flop than your opponents. |

| Ill play to the flop unless people rais it to much before, i mean if u got like 3 10 off suit its pointless paying 150 jsut to see. ... i might consider it if i was the small blind |

| Really? If I was SB I would throw that hand away. The chances of hitting something decent is so slim. |

| Well if its not going to cost much then pay to see it. You will only be kicking yourself if 10,3,10 comes out on the flop Bazzy ![]() |

| its all abot pot odds versus percentages, if the hand percentages are lower than the pot odds then fold - you'll win out in the long run - have patience |

| I try to see as many flops as i can, but when you are short stacked or blinds are huge, it gets tough.

| One time in your life, you'll fold your 2 7 and the flop will be 7 7 2. It happens. Does that mean you should play 2 7? No, it's horrible. The "odds" mean that 1) 999 times out of 1000, you'll get killed with 2 7 and 2) 1 time in 1000 you will have a full house. So it's true, once every 1000 hands you will throw out a full house. But you'll save so many chips the rest of the 999 hands that it's the only thing to do. |
