I agree with blade4life. QQ is by far the worst for anyone with some experience playing.

Wow that was actually quite helpful. I just started playing I wish more people would post little things like this with easy to understand explanations.

This is the worst hand to start with in Texas Hold 'Em Poker because there are so few good options: you have no straight draw, no flush draw, and even if you wind up with a pair of 7s or a pair of 2s, you're very unlikely to have the best hand. Of course, you'll see some crazy flops every now and then. But just because you might see a rare 7-7-2 flop once in a blue moon doesn't make this a good hand to play.

2. 2-8 (offsuit)
See above. This is only slightly better than a 2-7 offsuit because the 8 is better than the 7.

3. 3-8 (offsuit)
Another horrible starting hand for Texas Holdem Poker.

4. 2-9 (offsuit)
This hand is only slightly better than the ones listed above.

5. 2-6 (offsuit)
Of the 169 possible starting hands in Texas Hold 'Em Poker, this one ranks 165th. Not something to be proud of.

Taken from: http://boardgames.about.com/od/poker...t_starting.htm
nice list, thanks for that but there's a small thing to add : Those results are for 6 to ten players tables, heads up is a different world and there 9-2 will be better than 4-5 suited for example (4-5 suited is a very good hand against more than 3 players in the hand, see the 2 screenshots below)!

2 players in the hand : your 9 makes the difference, heads up is a matter of overcards at first

6 players in the hand : Even if the Ace push A8 as first, the second hand here is the suited connectors one (and outside that fact playing suited connectors is at first a way to trap)!

Take care about those hands rankings

Duce 8 suited is not such a bad starting hand. One time i went all in with it, and i kid you not, the flop was 5, 4, 6, followed by a 7 then a Q. Sometimes it works... sometimes!
