playing the BC and got off to a flying start, but then just as we hit the points i went card dead. got to the final table was quite low on chips. i got to see a few hands because blinds started just after me. but im still card dead, got to my bb and someone shoved on it. had nothing to call with. they get close to me again and i get my first ok hand in a while A/10 off so i shoved. called and out kicked. what can you do in these situations?

What every one else seems to do, push on your 7/2 o/s for sure to double your stack.

Only got 2 choices mate, fold fold fold and fizzle away like I often do, or shove with any 2 cards and hope. Everything I've read or seen on TV from the pro's says the only option is all in with anything you get. Not that I do it but that's probably just me being stupid.

Short stacked we all know 72 off has got as much chance after the flop as AK, despite what the odds might say.

my other problem was i was sat next to the chip leader(huge chip leader, had me covered by over 10K) so if he had a half decent hand it really wouldnt have hurt him to call. in the end my A10 was beat by AQ. no problem with that, im not moaning about the game. looking for tips when its seems like everything was going against me.

Sounds to me like you did all you could mate. Unless your gonna try a few bluff steals you can't do anything when you get a dry run.

if you called there,,u pushed ,,good ,i woulda too. , short ,,less than a blind, ya put ur rest in,,you did all you can do.-- do same thing thing 50 times,,,you get it,,36 of those i bet,,thats outta my head ,,no book, ,you did right thing.
good move ,,just at the end of ur run,,, get the chippies early,,then play the players,the cards start to mean less.
