What do you do?

Hey guys lately I've found I'm getting bored whilst playing and that I just can't be bothered to play ... and unfortunately the game play has fell back down in to some weird level of ... poo.

So what do you guys do to get yourself in the mood .. I guess?

I really enjoy playing like, so I want to feel like I was about 2 weeks ago.

Any ideas other than going on a break?

yes. my mrs loves to play but can only reset to 1k every time she wants to play girls tourny or an invite cause the opp66 ones cost 2k and she wont let me donate her any chips. stick round and put a combination lock on your bankroll lol

Yes, I feel the same... not fun so some sit win and go lol, I like play a litlle in tables but if I dont see some people play a little for fun and friendship Im go, more times is abusive the (calls ALL IN) trying luck and make table fold lol but for me is so a game but I miss many times ok win some chips is normal but fun too. Hope better days and luck too lol.

I just wish the sit and goes were more popular mate as thats where i play an enjoy the game. Obviously the OP66 tournies as well but as for anything else then no.

I cannot now see the purpose of playing the rings. I have dabbled twice in last two weeks and it is pointless so i think Dragons suggestion of getting a few players at the sit and goes makes a lot of sense

i`m always watching tv while i`m playing. but even then i some times get bored and start playing stupid calls/bets..

you know what m8 i fell out off love for the game too i took a break and started to remember that it's just a game so i came back went mental playing a few bingo games for a laugh and just had the crack!! you just need to remind youself you can't win everything and your here for the fun and laugh.

i play because i love the game but some don't like the way i play and thats ok i think its part of the game no skill hold 'em is a bluff game and that is where the skill is know when to hold and know when to fold

Well last night I got me a bronze in NY so that was cool. I guess we all just get a little bored of the same thing over and over again. Poker is a lot like food, you can only take so much of it before you get sick of it ...even if it is the best damn food going

Don't get me wrong I don't want to go on a break. What a stupid idea .

I think i've found out why my games haven't been as fun though. it's because I've been caught up doing other things, so of course I'm not taking the time to get into the game and enjoy the company of the great people on this site.

I know it's only been a short time, but my advice to anyone feeling how I was for the past few days is to just drop everything else and get into the game. I think for me that's the only way I can enjoy the game.

But of course winning is a great morale boost too

Best of luck guys and thanks for the posts if anyone ever does want a quick game,sit and go or otherwise just pm me I'm always up for it

I think you can play too much........its addictive but if you limit time playing you will hopefully play better.......prob is when you are on winning streak you don't want to quit or on a losing streak you want to play on till your cards turn for better..I get bored and play very agressive with free chips..

Yeah that's deffo the problem, or you get too used to the same style of play.

I was getting bored and tired of the game a few months ago and it was Matador who got me all excited for it again. I think I started taking it all abit seriously, wanting to win medals and all the rest..He came into chat asked who wanted to play a 1k sit n go...normally I would think BORING but the catch was that EVERYONE had to go all in on the first hand..
It was a laugh and a half I would love to see a OP66 tourney where EVERYONE went all in, I think we'd all be laughing for the next 2 hours anyway!!
I am due for another 1k all in game very soon I think...I am feeling the boredom creep up once again.

I agree, the all in bingo game is a nice break. I got bored a few months ago, so started playing with known bingo players. Didn't care if I won or lost. I ended up losing about 500k, and got myself on the rats list trying to work my way back up, but it was fun.
