| Hi, Personally i think there are a handful of players, well if you can call them that, that their tactics are of harrassment, constant written 'abuse', bullying either alone or in combination with other players, general child-like behaviour and so on. These minority folk usually go on to win with these tactics. I think this is a brill poker website. Second to none, but it needs better age policing. Do you agree? I'm no old miserable devil and love a laugh and a joke during play as the next player. Thats what i like about playing on here you get to chat worldwide with some absolutely fantastic people. Hope you don't mind me 'sounding off' here but ive had an incident of homophobic bullying today whilst playing in a 20,000 tourney. The player was 13 and went on to win!!!! Regards Kezapeg. |

| First I learned all the different tactics, like being a loose or tight player, combined with an aggressive or passive attitude (google this). I also learned about pot odds. Now, I spent a few rounds observing the new players I don't know, to find out their own tactics and I adapt to each of them. I change tactics during my tournaments games. Against top players, you have to be better than a chameleon having impeccable timing skills. Still learning... Lot of fun !!! |

About 3 weeks agi, there was a 16 years old arrogant brazillian trying to get my MSN id. He was trying all sorts of tricks. I let him played his tricks and played innocent. I smashed him at the last round when we were the only two players left, by complaining that he would not dare to go "all-in" with me. I knew I had the better hand. That paid for his stupidity and I had a good laught...!!! |

| Personally, my strategies varying with a number of different metrics, among them are; the tournament's payout structure, my standing in the tournament, my M value (my stack size divided by the total of the blinds plus the antes), the presence and position of aggressive or passive players, and most of all the number of players at one's table. I would think that the payout structure would have the greatest impact on my overall strategy. In a single table tournament, at most 1st, 2nd and 3rd places are paid. In a multi-table tournament, 18th to 27th (or more) places may get paid. One structure allows for making the money and then climbling up the structure the other is a all or nothing proposition. I think that the number of players at my table and my position have the greatest impact on my game strategy for hand to hand. Middle pair at a full table and middle pair heads up at a final table are two completely different propositions. I believe that an awareness of one's strategies and the ability to adapt one's strategy to ever changing game conditions distinguishes the good from the great at holdem. zanshin |
