i'd have re-raised the $8 after flop,to prob about $30, then see what he did,

sounds crazy but he could even been playing 89 or flush draw

i play against petrspark all the time, he is a tight solid player so from what ive seen in the past he wouldnt be 3 betting with K10/A10 here.

saying he's a tight player i think you did a good lay down you cant discount the facts he may have poc 10's a tough but good fold.

Flop call is terrible. You should have raised pot there. You didn't raise and the worst thing happened- we have no idea where we are. It could be 90-10 to either side if you make the call.

But I think the guy flopped a draw. First he called pre-flop, so he probably doesn't have an overpair there. He also called the flop. I'm pretty sure he has a draw on the flop, like 89, 8J, maybe some kind of a flushdraw. On the turn, he goes all-in after a bet and a raise before him. You said he is tight, so he must've made something or slowplayed something. I also think that you are beat here, and it probably was the correct fold. But you have to raise the flop here.

I agree with the gist:

1) raise post flop, not call (agree with sigalahe first of all for information and second to protect your hand which is likely ahead now (but with a strong potential to lose value, with the flush draw and many str8s combinations to possibly follow on turn)

2) likely beat so good fold on turn (from your additional info on peter plus the fact that many hands beat you now 10 10, 99, 10 7, 9 7, 8 J, etc.

Since he called a 3.5 x BB raise form the small blind with low pot odds, and since you mention he is a tight player, he probably had something a tad solid to start with since he'll be out of position for the whole hand.

You seem to know him well and from what you say my two penny guess would be pocket 10's or 9's with a slight tendency for 9's over 10's

(I think he might not have gone all in with pocket 10's but the reasoning is long, speculative and debatable and not related to your question).

Congrats on your big stack anyways, m8!!!!
