Default What would you do?

im sure he has nothing on his hand, he just bet 400 hoping the others fold because they checked all before. WHAT would you do in this situation? to call?

Thanks!

Fold, because I have nothing in my hand either. He could be bluffing with a Jack/Three and still beat me.

Yeah you always have to remember that maybe your opponent's nothing is more than you're nothing.

Depends how the other player had been playing before that hand and how the bets on that hand had gone, can't comment from that single screenshot.

Simple answer; fold.

More complicated answer; If you know the table and he is loose, try a small re-raise. If he's not got em, he'll fold. If he does, consider folding at the next opportunity.

He might have two spades, which would not only beat your straight if he managed it, it also has more chance of occuring. You don't know, so don't do anything stupid!

its a nothing pot, all you've got in it so far are the blinds and his little 400 bet. its not the best opportunity for you to make a move.

i disagree about making a "small" reraise as suggested above, if you are going to make a move on him in this spot (and im not saying you should) he either has the nuts and is calling whatever you bet, or, as you suspect, is bluffing. an agressive reraise will do one of two things, either lose you more money, or frighten him off the hand. but whatever happens, at least you will know where you are at. i dont like the "small reraise" because to me it looks like a weak play, if you do that, and he thinks like i do, then he might raise you again, and then you really are out of options.

but like i say, its a nothing pot, so why bother?

be lucky mate

depends how much gamble you've got doesnt it. you can try playing on big cards only if you like. good luck.

straights and flushes are real money makers, of course you've got to try to draw to them. just make sure that if you are drawing, that you are drawing to the highest possible straight or flush thats out there.
