As a good friend once told me 'play poker like you know your going to win, though show patience until that time. Also never play a bad hand unless you are feeling lucky' think that sums up nicely the best style

I'm normally a tight-aggressive player but when you have a nice chip lead it's time to bully

One of the reasons i like poker so much is that there is no one answer to your question donkey. If you play with the same or similar styles all the time, other people will wise up on your gameplan. I don't mean to say that i am right, and anyone who plays with a constant style is going to loose. I just mean, in my experience, several different styles used when needed, seems to work best

i honestly never played poker in this capacity. i actually found it harder toplay here then in real life. what i mean to say is i cant see the faces of the players that im playing against. i cant see their idiosynchrisies. some people flinch their eyes and others rub their nose. some players twiddle their fingers while others just seem to have no emotion but when they think thay have a winning hand they tend to breath harder. and just as you can bluff with your bet you can also change the idiosynchrisies of your body language, so everythings still unpredictable TRUST ME noone that plays here could play that all in crap if they were at a table with real0 people but after a week here i figured it out obviously i wonder how many people are going to think that the last sentence in this post is being arrogent, it is not, it is being honest and if being honest is being arrogent then i am one arrogant SOAB

I think Michael is alright, anyway in playing poker online u must play waiting for a good flop, making a nice bluff when needed and try to steal all when they think u have nothing!

The best "style" is to have a variety of different styles under your belt, and to be able to adapt them to whatever playing conditions are present. As donkey said, when you have a chip lead, you can use that to your advantage. But you`ll see alot of people become greedy and end up losing that lead once the blinds go up...and having a chip lead also gives you the freedom to be able to bluff.
