| Marbella Slim recently reminded us of this once famous quote by Doyle Brunson, ; "With Ace Ace or King King you usually win a small pot or lose a big one." This of course applies much more to higher stakes games than it does to the more humble levels of Texas Hold'em. At low stakes games you can often win a lot of pots with big pairs because so often inexperienced players will overvalue their hands and end up contributing much more to your eventual pot than they should. | Very true. With high pockets u usually get beaten with two low pairs. That stinks, but thats poker. ![]() |
