Happens all the time and I thought about starting a similar thread a few weeks ago, but I forgot. lol

What makes matters worse is when you look at the flop after you folded and you're convinced you had two pairs or better, when in reality your remembering your cards from a few hands or just making them up.

That being said your mind is like a muscle and in some regards the "use it or lose it" saying certainly applies to mental acuity. So challenging yourself to remember your folded cards might improve your memory overall. Come to think of it this mental game within the game might benefit you in other ways as well like remembering where you left the car keys!

I do remember the cards along with the suit. Like finley said I make it a mental challenge.(I can even remember what I had five hands ago) I have always been good with numbers all my life. It is funny that I can remember cards and numbers, but I have a very hard time with names.

It is a sure sign of dementia, but don't worry, it really doesn't matter, as long as you remember what's in front of you, then it's real easy to fold!
