Apologies

I need to apologise for missing the BC today. I got all signed up. watched the screen come up and was patiently awaiting the start of the tourny. Suddenly I smelled that unmistakable smell of overheated electronics. You know the smell I mean, it is the one that signals coming events are about to happen that will cost you a lot of money. Sure enough a second or two later the popping noises began from the computer accompanied by several flashes of the monitor. Then the the deadly silence accompanied by a blank screen and even more severe burning electronics smells.

I am typing this from my wife's computer, which I am not allowed to use. It would have been smart of me to back up files on my (now dead) computer, and I had intended to do that by using part of the space on my wife's compurter. But she caught me messing with her computer and put a stop to that. So, I'm hoping that my 11 years worth of genealogy research and all of my family photos are not lost.

I am now shopping for a new computer. Sorry I won't be available to donate chips for awhile. GL all.
