Would Someone Please Explain What,s Going On If This Is A Test
People Are Letting It Be Known That They Are Not Happy.
It Seems To Everyone That This Is A Ploy To Try To Coax Them Onto Real Money Side And Who Can Blame Them What With Having To Re-register With Personal Details Because Lag Is No Longer An Excuse As Its On Realmoney Side As Well Though Not As Bad
So Come On You Can Surely See People Are Leaving In Droves
And For The Sake Off This Site Please Respond
Or This Test If Thats What Is Going To Backfire And Lose A Good Friendly Poker Base

From what I have read, this is a test. More tables that we are accustom to should be up & running next week to see if there is a lag on the new site.

This is not aimed at you Gerry, but in catching up in the forum this is like the fiftieth posting about this.

New script test : The plan is here!

This has been announced for a week. There is a thread for moving your chips, there is a thread to post if you have issues with your name being already taken, there is a thread for feedback.

PLEASE PEOPLE take the time to read some of this stuff, Lava does not spend the time to post it so the post count looks good.

As for the moderators, we are getting to play right now, outside the forum and chat rooms. A nice change for us. We have been working to answer questions and help people with the transition, but the number of requests, at least for me, have been HUGE!

And for those of you who are un-hinged by the change remember the following:

1. This is a test to see if the real money side scripts will resolve some of the lag problems you have been complaining about for weeks.

2. If we do not get enough people to at least try it to stress test the script, we will not get enough data to support any decision to use the new script or keep patching the old one.

3. This is still free play, you are not required to deposit money to play your chips from here. Lava has already said if we go back to the old scripts we will transfer the chips back to the old system after the test.

4. Lava is busting his tail to try and keep you all happy with the play level and he is doing it without any compensation from us.

PLEASE, take some time, play the new free tables so we can get the data we need to make the site better for everyone. It is not the end of the world, I promise.

They UI is garbage:

fonts are too small
making a bet within the time frame is difficult
not enough time to evaluate the hands after the show
still pleanty of lags and folds
poorly organized
no reason the under 18 set should not be allowed to play on the free side
not enough contrast between fonts and background
unhandled server errors

And with all of this, we are supposed to trust you with our money...you must be crazy.

As I restated, this is a site test for the script. All of your points are valid and there is at least one thread from Lava to list what you like or don't like. It is a test for PERFORMANCE under strain, but since there are far more people who would like to complain than be involved with the site evolution...I guess we get what we deserve.

Can you elaborate on the points I have made bold in your statement?

Playing for real money or not, is not the point of the test. If you chose to play the real money tables great, but again, this is not the purpose of the test changes.

You can either post here, PM me or post it to the main thread about the things that should be looked at for coding.

Yes you do get what you deserve. Testing should be opt in not mandated! And if you do not have the UI nailed down, how can you possibly expect to get a relevant performance test?
