| I was in BC tonight and a player was doing really well , they had a really lucky run....then they lost a few bluff hands and they threw their dummy out and said they were going but kept raising and going all in , they did lose their chips and was knocked out. Now i believe a player has been banned for chip dumping ??????? Can someone please tell me the difference ??? |

| I thought chip dumping was giving your chips to a specific person. Nothing wrong with going all-in every hand imo. The player payed his entry fee so can do as he wishes. I think the way people chip dump is for eg. 2 players on 1000 chips. 1 raises to 999, next player raises to 1000, 1st player folds.. etc...

| I thought chip dumping was just what it said m8 and if one player wins more on a table thu a person going all in a number of times isn't that chip dumping , the thing is how can you tell who is and who isn't. I'v seen people go all in with 2 3 off against A k , if they lose say 2 or 3 hands to same person is that chip dumping ?? |

| Hmmm...I think that was a good question Outlaw... I have often wondered 'bout the same thing...But agree with Jimmy...they do pay their fee...they can play anyway they want, I personally prefer they post and fold...and will ask one to do that...cause it puts a damper on the game, goin-all-in every hand. But also think that Slicky's explanation answers it best for me... ![]() |

| Depends if they are trying to give their chips to a mate, they do take the chance of someone else calling and taking the chips, but I do see it happening tourneys, not chip dumping, cheating.

| i dont like it when people lose on purpose. gives the person who wins it an advantage. never knew its was against the TOS tho. that being said, cant remember the last time i read them ![]()

| I must admit i thought chip dumping was giving your chips to someone for them to gain an advantage...i agree with Mr Slick and i agree with Jimmy course you can play how you want but i think it can be looked at different ways and because someone has been banned for same reason i just wanted to know the diff. |

| As slick says, it applies to the ring tables really. 2 players go on a ring, 1 raises to 9,999,999, next player raises to 10,000,000, 1st player folds.

| Ok fair enough i get that but what if somebody gives there chips away in a tourney or a heads up game , isn't that chip dumping. I completely understand what has been said but my point is chip dumping is not just on ring tables the rules are for all games so if a player in a tourney or a heads up game is giving there chips away then a player is gaining advantage because they have more chips....as i see it no matter what game you are playing if a player gains advantage by getting chips of another player by any other way than winning then surely that is chip dumping ?? |

| Going all in with a poor hand is not chip dumping it's just poor play. Chip dumping is arranging to give your chips to aspecific player.

Mods can look at history of players previous games....a pattern may emaerge....also as previously stated a massive raise followed by a fold to a modest raise says a lot

| Ok lets put it another way...what if a player says he/she is going and lets say that they really are leaving the game and they keep going all in till their chips have gone is that chip dumping or not ?? |

| rings its pretty easy to spot. but in tourny play iv seen loads say they have to leave and start with the all ins. im not sure if they give a monkeys who takes their chips or not. its also going to take more than 1 tourny to see a pattern and it will still be pretty hard to prove.
