Whats the point of going all in?

If you win, then you have to keep going all in until you lose. Not only do you delay yourself, you also knock other people out when you shouldn't be there in the first place.

Eventually you're going to go out, just the same as sitting out four hands, why should you take others out with you? No fair.

same situation used to go all in but now sit out get more respect that way, mind u my luck seemed to change for the better but sit out is best for all

The sit out idea is right u could take somebody out and then you leave

If you are playing a tourney as big as the mammoth and don't want to lose 1 million chips instantly and have a little time there is no harm in forcing the issue by playing more aggresively than usual, but if you have to leave instantly then sit out

So, would i be right in saying that, in effect, you are becoming an all-inner because you have to leave? Well, i don't see anything wrong with that, other than the fact it can be irritating for other players, since its more likely someone will benefit than lose out. but its definitely not ok to announce your cards or your intentions before hand since players can be lulled into a false sense of security and make moves they wouldn't usually make. Either sit out OR make all-in moves each hand. Theres no ethical middle ground (in my humble opinion )
