First Big Tourney

I'd read a lot of posts from people complaining about being folded on the big tourneys so was a bit dubious about playing one. Tonight I thought what the hell and gave one a go.
My very first hand was pocket 3s and my hand was folded without my doing anything. Up comes the flop with a pair of 3s. A couple of players went all in and I would have had a massive advantage for the rest of the game.
My next hand was K Q that I would have won from but that too was folded.
I don't want to bitch coz I love this site and the people on it, but that kinda sucked.
Oh well, think I'm gonna stick to the mini tourneys from now on.
