is it best to fold or check when it will cost u no chips. i have sen many ppl fold when they could have checked and then maybe folded on the next turn? what does everyone think? jjjbiguk

U might as well check coz it costs nothing. When people fold it's probably coz they were on a draw and ended up with 4 high or something like that.

You are always check of course. The only reason to fold its if you dont want to show your cards

i think sometimes players just check fold b4 their turn that's why.

i hate wen ppl fold insted of chekin bcz its free to chek,, but somehow they decide to fold... :S

Sometimes you feel strongly about not playing that hand. Sometimes it will never be worth it, and others you get pissed with how much it sux..If your trying to be sneaky and win some pots you fold alot, and then when you play a hand noone would second guess that you've got anything but a good hand...

I always check if it costs nothing you get a chance to see what people are betting with.

If you have no pair, no flush draw and no str8 draw and no pair and you got like 2-4 offsuit with only 1 card left to come you just as might fold.... just so you dont have to waste ppls time because even if u hit lowest pair on the river you are not likely to call a bet with that hand... But of course if u have the littliest chance to hit something you should obviosly check

only reason I can see ids if after betting up to the river with a weak hand and you know it will lose and don't want the other players to see what you did, but then I am only a learner.

lol.. its costing you the same if you fold.. but if you fold you have 0 possibility of winning the pot.. if you are holding cards at least you have some chance. i love it when others fold though lol. it is less competition, which is part of my strategy. i play aggressive, make as many as i can fold. and steal the pot lol. its a lot of dumb luck and bluffing.. but ive came in 1st in two tourneys!! (was a newbie just a month ago lol). thanks to everyone who keeps this site going smoothly, especially lava =D. this forum is cool too. taught me a lot and made me some friends =)

Sometimes I fold because of the texture of the board and I can see that if another card hits all it will do is costr me chips. EG if you have A4 and and you call a raise and then AKQ hits ..just fold you'll get sucked into spending chips on the vauge hope that someone didn't hit their ace with a bigger kicker..

Also if all the cards are down.. and you can't beat the table and your highest card is 2 3 or 4 and there is more than 1 person left in the pot.. the chances of winning are so small you might as well fold.
