| Absolutely! It's winning all 5 of the OP Majors: British Crown NY Times Wombats Hetman's Mammoth (only running once a week!) Now... it would be really cool if we had a list of all the 'Grand Slammers' in a thread somewhere! --goldwing  |

| yes, WW, the Mammoth is expensive (500,000 chip buy-in). Also, what makes the 'Slam hard for some is hitting the tournies because of the time zones... typically at least 1 is in the middle of the night... and for those that are still working, 1-2 are during work hours. So those conditions alone make it difficult. There are Double-Slammers --- JimmySymtex, who is a Mammoth away from being a Triple-Slammer. I've been asking, but haven't gotten an answer of having a 'sticky' thread of the winners in the forum. Or, even having a social group set up (invite-only) of the winners. It would be cool! | OK, folks... I wanted the information... so I went out looking! I think I have a definitive list at this point. Thanks to the start from MrCool1 and others, but what I did was started from the top of the Medals toplist and went profile by profile... we missed a couple from earlier... TicTalk and Yeoman42! And, amazingly enough, the ONLY Double-Slam winner to date is JimmySymtex! There are MANY who are close to their 1st 'Slam, and some who are close to a Double. I will post a new thread in the forum. I will ask that the Moderators 'sticky' the thread. And it will be up to new winners to post to that thread and I will then edit the initial post so that it will be easy to see the list. If someone makes a Double, we will keep a separate list... JimmySymtex is actually a Mammoth away from a Triple! Oh, and there is a possibility that I have missed someone... I was being careful in going through the 66 names on the list... if I did miss, please let me know and accept my apologies, in advance! Also, # 66 (Hondr) has 5 golds and 8 Silvers... so that tells me there are still quite a few that have 5 Gold's that are NOT on the top list... so there is a possibility that I've not seen you, simply for that reason. Therefore, if there are others out there, let me know and I will be sure that you are on "THE LIST"! Cheers to all! --goldwing |

| OK, as a follow up... the new thread is posted, so if a Moderator would be so kind as to 'sticky' the thread, I would be most grateful! Now... I have started the thread in alphabetic order... there are only 12 names on the list. I was thinking there would be more, and there still might be (see my post immediately above for my methodology in developing the list). That being said... if we can definitively form the natural order in which they occurred, I would gladly go back and edit the list. It would clearly be preferential to see it in this way. **IF** we do, those who achieve Double or Triple status, etc., will appear on each list... for now, for example, I've only listed JimmySymtex on the Double-Slam list... but if we have the natural order, I'll re-add him to the (single) Grand Slam list as well. Ideas as to whether this is achievable? Again, thanks to all! --goldwing |
