 how long have you been playing poker? How long have you been playing poker? are you an old skool poker player who has played for years or just a newbie finding their feet? how do you rate your poker play... do you think you could mix it with the pros?...are you a pro?? do you play poker for fun or are you out to make money? What does poker mean to you? How does it effect your day to day life? could you do without it? some very deep questions there i know.. but say what you really feel about this game of poker!! thx fut.  |

| well mate i just started on here a year ago nyes all fun ...i think i am an ok player hav ma week points ,,,,like goin 4 royals carn t help it..usted 2 play on here loads n dont that mutch as not enough tourdys n the bingo effect ,,, so now playin on anothers site n when get me chips u higher will b off .... will still play bc n outlaws ...outlaws is funny..

| Hmmmmm fut, you forgot to leave us the answers to your own questions.....ok here's mine.... I've been playing poker for 15 months and learnt how to play on OP66  since then I've started to play cash games and live games and I think that my style of play suits these games and tournies better than free chip ring tables.............I'm tiiiiight!!!!I'd love to play to make money but there's so much more I have to learn about poker......and people  Poker (and this site) has taken over my life!!! My day revolves around logging in here and no, I don't think I could survive without it........hello, my name is Betty and I'm addicted

| How long have you been playing poker? About 4 or 5 years now, but only really started to understand it about a couple of years ago Are you an old skool poker player who has played for years or just a newbie finding their feet? Definately still finding my feet and learning as I go how do you rate your poker play... do you think you could mix it with the pros?...are you a pro?? I'd say I was between average and above average , my goal would be to become good, I'd love to be a Pro but still have too much to learn do you play poker for fun or are you out to make money? Mostly for fun, but I have started playing the odd online money game and have also played in a few local tourneys. What does poker mean to you? How does it effect your day to day life? could you do without it? I kind of relate to Bettys comments, it is easy to let it take over. I really should take a break soon, but on the other hand I enjoy it and it keeps me out of trouble. Without it I would probably watch more TV ,and catch up on some reading , but hey why be without it when it's there. Great Thread, I really hope a few more people take the time to reply, will be interesting to hear other peoples thoughts |

| i've been playing poker now for just over 2 years. i think i'm a pretty decent player if i can double up early,otherwise im too tight & let the blinds eat me up. i tried playing cash but pretty much only broke even so therefore no i dont think i could mix it with the pros,but cash is a good alternative for me when i get bored of the bingo. & poker is a big part of my life,but i used to play chess a lot until about 4 years ago.but i played a game the other night & hated it  so who knows maybe i might feel that way about poker some day. |

Never really took it very serious until I started at OP66 a year ago. I will never take it serious enough to play pro. do you play poker for fun or are you out to make money? For fun What does poker mean to you? How does it effect your day to day life? could you do without it? It has always been just a game to me. I could take it or leave it. | iv been playing for around 3 years on and off. im a amazing player just everyone else is rubbish lol joking aside my online play isnt the same as live. i couldnt mix it with the pros but i would say iv made more money than iv lost. i am on this site a lot but im not always playing due to the dislike of online play. i joined to improve my game but found myself learning a whole different style. anyone else agree with that statement?

| How long have you been playing poker?There has always been a deck of cards on my grandparents kitchen table. I grew up playing knock poker, 7 card stud and of course rummy. I only learned how to (try) play hold'em about a year ago. are you an old skool poker player who has played for years or just a newbie finding their feet?definitely finding my feet! how do you rate your poker play... do you think you could mix it with the pros?...are you a pro?? Depends on the cards. I will rate myself very armature. There is so much to learn about this game. I don't last long around here! The pro's would laugh at me.do you play poker for fun or are you out to make money?For fun, not into giving my money away. Except at casino's,I play black jack. Oh we play knock poker out at the poker shack and it's for money, would not play knock for fun. Even tho. it's illegal to gamble here. What does poker mean to you? How does it effect your day to day life? could you do without it? I'm addicted!!! Point blank. I even started setting my alarm clock to get up to play in a tourney. Clean and run errands between tourneys. Sometimes I'm cooking between hands. IT'S CrAzY! I would not be a happy camper if I could not play.

| been playing poker about 18 months my first ever game was on op66,used to play alot of 3 card brag still finding my feet and trying to learn this great game average player i think and have played against baz our pro a few times but would love to have a game against a table of pro,s play for fun and small cash games addicted aint there another word think i live here most of the time

| How long have you been playing poker? texas holdem for 19 months, but played all forms of brag (3,9,10,13,bas!ard) for 20 years are you an old skool poker player who has played for years or just a newbie finding their feet?still finding my feet, there is ALWAYS more to learn, if you think that there isnt, then youre never gonna be a great player how do you rate your poker play... do you think you could mix it with the pros?...are you a pro??i would rate myself as above average if ive got my poker head on(if i can be bothered) or bellow average if i havnt got my poker head on... do you play poker for fun or are you out to make money?i only really play for real money except 1 or 2 free op66 tourneys, but i only play real money for fun (if you know what i mean?) i dont expect to make 1000's any time soon... What does poker mean to you? How does it effect your day to day life? could you do without it? i spend all my spare time here, it has taken over my life tbh.. best thread ive seen in a while  |

| 1. 18 months-ish...barely knew what poker was before i started playing on this site and went from there.. 2. xD agree with stjimmy absolutely... i know a bit and i have plenty of interest but theres sooooooooooooo much to learn3. errrr no i couldnt xD... i reckon i can hold my own on the free chips games and the little $1 sit n gos or whatever but i kno any more n i will get eaten alive ... when i play good im not bad, when i play bad, im very bad. 4. FUN ... although it would b fun to make some money too i hope...  5. I would say main effect now is the friends n community i hav here would not say poker has taken over my life and i can go without but it is a significant part and I luvs it |

| been playing poker for about 4/5 years i wouldnt say im an old skool poker player, but i have learnt ALOT over the past few years. i would say in a tight aggressive player who likes to get my chips in the middle. i play for fun and play for real money 2. but i enjoy it more when i playing on the free side with u lot lol how does poker effect my life?? i eat/sleep/drink/dream poker lol deano

| been playing poker for about 3 years, it all started with my addiction to watching it on the telly. i rate my play as totally poo, i dont have a problem getting the chips, i just cant keep hold of them..as most of you know this is mainly due to my bad temper and lack of patience  poker, no, this place, has totally taken over my life to be honest, i even make my kids starve till after the crown but hey, they're grown ups me and betty go and play a live game now and again..but she always wins so i dont know why i even bother if i ever started playing for serious money, i'd end up with no house so i guess i'll leave that to the pro's |

My poker playing is bad....very bad at times, but hey, i love my friends on OP and i like letting them have my chippies. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr do you play poker for fun or are you out to make money? I play for fun...... im the same as sally, i'd be homeless if i played for money!!!! Poker to me, especially here on this site, is a big part of my life, prob too big but its sooooo hard to curb the 'turning on' of the pc when i get in from work. I'd miss my 'family' here too much and the life-long friends that ive made. xxxxx

| been playing for two and a half years,and still a newbie,still learning but i think i,m thick or something cause i have not learned much to date,just bet the cards or how i feel at the time.i have dabbled on the real money side but only with free roll winnings and have not had much luck,so i know i cannot mix it with the pro,s at the moment,it might be a confidence thing lol.i will carry on playing for fun on the practice side as winning money is not that important to me,but i will dabble on the real money side now and again.i love poker and for a while several month,s ago it did seem to take over my life,but i gave it some thought and reigned back the hours i spend on op66 and all seems fine,but there is a lack of tournaments that i like at the moment on the site so there always seem to be big gaps anyway.i,ll always want to play poker looking for that perfect game,like when i was a young surfer looking for that perfect wave,age curbed my surfing but will never stop me playing poker,just losing my brain cells may lol.play enjoy and chat everybody,or for short [peace] |
