This may be answered out there somewhere, but if many people are eliminated from a tourney at one time, how is placement of finish decided? For example, I was playing on a turbo tourney just now, one guy took out the remaining 3 players including myself, though thankfully I was credited with finishing 2nd. I may have had the chip lead of the 3 eliminated players, is that it?

Whoever had the higher chip stack at the start of the hand( ie yourself ) would have been place 2nd

Yeah, i think it's to do with chip count, can't think of any other reason.

Wait, So if i had 1 chip and went all in and got a flush Someone else went all in witj 500 chips and had a straight And the winner bet 1k chips and had a Full house. I'd come second?

No , you would be 3rd cos the guy with 500 chips had a bigger stack than you when the hand started, even though you had a better hand

Jockney is correct. After the winning hand is decided e hand strength of the others does not matter. Only how many chips you put into the pot in total

Thank you all, makes sense, will pay more attention to it, but I'm sure you're right. Hi Jockney...recognize you from the tables, and especially the cool avatar. Until yesterday I was muted, couldn't say so then...
