I think the joker card should be nominated b4 the first game of the tourney commences
i also think that a non playing member should be the one who is told that way no team captain has any idea other than who their own joker is....Fred included....it needs to be someone neautral....like a kiwi or such...a non playing country member
the announcement of the joker cards is then done at the end of the last day of the tourney

Yeah, sounds fair enough, all we need now is a volunteer to hold the jokers. All it needs is for the captains to PM the individual with the information, he would hold on to it until the tourney had finished then PM me with the details for the final results post. Anybody got a suggestion as to who this umpire might be?, maybe The Texan would hold the info for us.

i suggested the idea of a joker card,because of the timing of the tourney,with some teams finding it hard to field a player every night.
fred needed ideas to try an make the result of the tourney last until the last night.
the idea was if you have a no show you could play your joker an try an make up some points,keeping your team in with a chance of a decent finish.
so now to nominate before the captains can nominate a player who fails to show an wasting the joker.
if tex has agreed,why cant he be informed that a joker will be played,say an hour before it starts that a team will be playing a joker,an he passes on who played there jokers on what night at the end of the tourney.
just my thoughts,good luck to all teams

well really i dont think it matters how long before the games starts as long as its before. But i think its a good idea to not tell who used it until the end of the tournie. Just keeps the excitment up till the end for the final result

Hey Danny mate you wouldn't have to prove anything to be a member of the Welsh team. The only problem is that we already have six players so getting a game would be difficult. It looks as if the Canadian team are short, you may be better contacting Rad6 buddy.
