Default it is a joke

just played hets and the whole game was spoilt by one player,
i dont get this play one bit, like my poker and spend many hours a day here for idiots in my view who play stupid hands and silly raises and spoil a good tourny,i dont mind losing had my share of bad beats but this was not poker someone just having fun at others players expense, yes i know how sommeone plays is up to them but this was a joke

i had my game ruined by people i know can play, giving the tourneys a miss for a while. pointless playing for half a hour to have at least one person go all in every hand

I agree, the bingo playing in tourneys is getin worse. Im getting so bored with it. I went all in with silly cards, just to get away from the game. I love this site and just hope the bingo players dont ruin it, people are getin so frustrated by silly playing. Personally i dont see the point going all in before flop, (EVEN WITH AA) you dont know whats gonna show up. Thats my rant over,

its not just the bingo i can deal with that early in tournys, this happened after break with a player big raising every hand with nothing and when called was hitting ,good play or bad play it ruined a good tourny, nothing wrong with aggressive play either i like that but every hand then laughing thinking they had done well, like i said i enjoy my poker and sitting at a table with play like this is a joke and not fair on those that try to play a game lasting more than two hours

It has crossed my mind that we should have a "Name and shame" thread , I guess this would be a bit controvertial but I have witnessed some totally ludicrous play recently , including one player (not mentioning her name but her avitar is upside down) insisting on going All-in in every hand in a recent OP tourney. I guess these players somehow get their kicks by trying to see if thay can wind up people who respect the game and enjoy good poker.

Unfortunately they are not breaking any rules , but as we know , they come and go , get their kicks for a while , but they don't last.

All we can really do is pity them that they have nothing better to do with their lives.

its crazy the bingo. Ive been trying to stay away from the OP tourneys lately with all the bingo that goes on but decided to play hetmans today after sitting for 20 mins watching every1 go all in with cuff all i thought stuff it and went all in with A9os was called by some1 with QQ trust the 1 time i bingo i get hit against that lol..

I've been playing the cash tables for sometime now well since the change over coming back to play the OP tourneys or catch a mate in a sit and go but i think i'll just stick to the cash side for a while cant be bothered with the fools ruining the OP tourneys

Edited original to save postors blushes

Just in Hetmans a few minutes ago. Very first hand, all in without seeing the flop. I have no problem telling people that bingo is down the hall and to the left. That person for the time I sat at the table didn't go all in again. I will call them out. I will not call them names as I do not want to stoop to their level

There is a lot more of what I would call 'chance betting', bet and hope kinda stuff. As has been said we all know it's within the rules, and I agree it does spoil the game in some ways. I don't let it drive me away from the games but I even though I would say I'm not a tight player I find it does make me play a lot looser than I otherwise would. It seems like you have to because the other option is to go real tight, but if you do that your good hand is still very likely to get called, and maybe beaten by a very marginal starting hand. The one good thing I suppose is that it exposes you to a broader range of playing styles, which in the long run is probably a good thing.

stevo and jjj have to agree with you both,
and i must add this is not a moan at our great site, but when you spend alot of time at a table you dont like to see this, there are no answers to this how people play is down to them.but like this post it cant be good for our newbies to see

Tel,

I think bingo was bad on the old script but has gotten much worse because of two things.

#1. When I first started on this "new" script, my chips did not transfere so I was forced to play the ring tables where all-in was common for me just to get lucky and hope to earn enough chips to enter into a OP tourney or a higher ante SNG. I think a lot of people got use to this way of play because of the rebuy and quick way to steal 20k in chips

#2 The Outlaws "FREE" tourney has created a monster like number one above where I think everyone thinks its okay to go all-in like it was stated in some rule when registering for it.

Pittbull was bad, but this has become far worse.

Its players like you that need to stand firm and play the game how it was meant to be played!

I agree that all in betting does spoil the game. Couldnt we have the All in table back and lead these players there so they dont spoil our great OP66 tournies.

As for name and shame Jockney while i love the idea and would be more than happy to put a few players names up there some of whom i blame for starting this epidemic, I dont think it would work because what would be the requirements to be included on the list.

Some hands you just have to go all in with and sometimes it doesnt matter what you have if your in position and have a semi decent hand and low stack you might as well go all in than spend another hour bleeding to death.

Yes, I agree , it was more a fantasy, you are right in practice it would not work, and no doubt that some would see getting their names added to an "ASBO" list as some kind of honour and, would strive to do it all the more to gain a bit of recognition.

Yes Ive seen a lot of that too DS dont like it when its used against them. Nobody in this thread by the way! One of the ones who invented it on here complains bitterly when he loses at his own game it just makes me giggle.

I know what you mean but I would be very surprised if anyone regarded the Ultra Outlaws as a 'serious' game of poker. I could be wrong but when it was introduce I'm sure Lava said it was a bit of fun, and to give people a chance to win a ticket to play in an Outlaws tourney which are some of the best games on here. It is fun, it's 45 mins of poker and gambling, which if you get a bit lucky gives you a chance to play in a serious game. Just don't play it the way you might play the "FREE" one lol (oh hang on though, if I'm playing in it then DO play it like the "FREE" one LOL)
