nothing has changed has it? zero respect for the player or their raise. its just chase chase chase. talking cash too. also reading a few threads it seems you can play like a fool if you have friends here. they will get backed up no matter how they play. we used to have a fair standard here. what happened? even some of the better players now just comment "you paid you can play how you like" sorry its just not poker any more. its who has the best luck or who can fold their way to bronze.

I empathise with you if you feel the game has changed. I find the tourneys sometimes to be games with a set standard of play where we just check ourselves to a win. No one taking a chance just taking it easy until the final table.

We all have different styles of play, varied or we would be lousey poker players. So what is the standard you are looking for?

Agree with what you say about raises getting no respect... It seems poker is not what it used to be in its prime times. More and more people are playing, and less and less people really know what they're doing... and it does kind of spoil the way people used to play. I guess you've just got to adapt to it and sort of go with the flow. (without stooping down to that level)

iv been talking to a friend not even a member here. he has suggested i keep trying. so as of today im giving it another crack, not just one game going to play solidly for a month. if i still feel the same i think i will have to take up a new game.

he also told me to remember to have fun
