| todays hets i changed my plan. mainly because the early hands people raised when i called or raised my blinds. it did annoy me thought about just sitting out. instead i decided to go all in preflop when i had good hand(only mainly premium and high pairs) and fold everything else. left everything to a coin flip. all the way through i was folding trips, straights and flush's, so annoying! im interested to know if people noticed what i was doing? or indeed would you call this a style of bingo? i got the luck of the draw and made the final table with a medium stack. i thought about changing but wanted to see how far this tactic would get me. got to the final 4. and with my big blind being poor and nolakay only calling my tactic called for me to check to the river. which i got runner runner and hit trips taking her out. tassurfer was low and i managed to take him out too although i cant remember how. left me and bobble. by this time i think id already told him what i was doing but im sure he coulda figured it out for himself. it was pretty much impossible for this to work in heads up even tho i was the chip leader. he pulled it back and won well done mate.

| not bingo play at all mate... you made a consious decision to play very aggressive with your premium hands very early on. i think this sort of tactic is common, although, mainly late on or at final table. ive done a similar thing in the past whereby ive decided to either raise or fold my hands. basically refusing to flat call or check. i did this as an experiment to how i would fair. i did reasonably well and made a lot of chips early on. i think it proves that mixing up the way you play is a very good way of learning and keeping your game fresh. wd m8. fut. |

| Interesting read DS. Seeing that it worked well on that occasion, would you employ this tactic again? I'm guessing it helped to see how big hands have better odds and more than not win against lesser hands.

| first time i tried it i made the points. lost to a slightly smaller hand if i remember rightly. if i used it some degree every game it could be a good bluffing tool. but its always high risk. today could be a good day tomorrow not so. i would use it again maybe not all the way through, and defo not heads up. maybe try again in another years time ![]()

| Lorrena66 played like this during mid game in yesterday'a mammoth. She built up for a while but mostly stealing blinds (75/150 up to 150/300) so no big profit. It became readable quite easily. And she got taken out by telboy. We were basically all waiting for the occasion to get her (or at least I was and would have called the very same hand if tel hadn't and would have won - but would have lost to tel-). While there is nothing wrong with this strategy per se. I find it rather annoying for it kills lots of play possbilities and tend to make the game boring for me (except in very late game, of course). Personally, I much prefer fut's option. But it is an interesting question, that could have been posted in the strategic question. In case you are interested, I posted a link to a series of video of all-in psychological warfare that I found particularly brilliant, but it was a very specific context where Gus Hansen exploited the different situations/objectives of his opponents in the last of a cumulative series qualifying rounds. |

| took me ages to watch those(my modem cuts out a lot) was very impressive as well as lucky. youre right it was easy to read, but by that time the caller/s would know that they are up against a strong hand. it was planned to be annoying too think a few called in frustration.
