NY Cancelled tonight...wtf

I went to register 5 min's before it was to start and it was already cancelled with 12 already registered. I don't get it. I can understand about the late registration, but why have late registration if you are going to cancel it with not enuf players prior till 5 min's before starting time....arrggghhh! I'm sure others feel the same way!

u need 15 players 5 mins before or cancelled, after that you have late registration

and lets be honest, it used to be 20 too start, everyone knows the score so if aint interested in playing then why blame the site ??

Lets be honest if you need fifteen to play "and" you have "late registration" then shouldn't it be up to the late registration deadline before you cancel? If you can't see that point then have another cookie.

15 players to start an OP tournament?? common 15 is nothing, if peeps dont wanna be bothered to register in time then the sites gonna die

how low would u suggest ?? 5 players ??? it would make a mokery of the medals points etc

we either play them or looose them is the only answer

You are totally missing my point. I understand and agree with t8he amount of players, but if you are going to mandate it be by 5min's before the tourney starts, then "Why have a late registration"? It should be a hard fast deadline. If you are not in by this time...if there are not enuf players by this time it's cancelled. It makes no sense to me that it's cancelled if there are not enuf players by 8, but "if there is" we will let others join up to fifteen minutes after. That is my point.

it used to be that way, no late reg, but some struggled to make start, work/family commitments etc so it was changed

i'm not saying thats right or wrong but thats the way they work atm
