| Hi rich having been here for a while I will give you my view on the matter. For those of us of the old school starting out with 1000 chips and yes there was bingo there as well, more so on the lower buy in's, we had to sort of graduate to higher buy in tables and tourneys as there was a cap on playing the lower tables over a certain amount of chips. As your bankroll increased and it came to I think it was 500k a 5% tax was imposed, thus the very high rollers had to keep winning to keep on a leader board. As other members have indicated, it was a rush to get a seat at the popular sng's, as each game finished it was immediately filled again. There was plenty of moaning about members playing the same time at multiple tables, occupying seats and not playing and a very healthy forum with much debate. There was much respect at the tables, the mods were usually playing, and any misdemeanour was swiftly dealt with at the tables and in the forum for spamming. The poker style of play was much more realistic by the players and followed what could be said as the conventional way of playing poker. Unfortunately as the membership increased major connection problems started occurring and Lava and the team had to move on to newer pastures for their business needs. Perhaps with the popularity of Poker on the box and witnessing the Pro's winning hands with o/s rags, this has lead to the all inners and bingo play. But what is usually forgotten is that with the Pro's we are only seeing the big wins and mostly only 2/3 players in the pot at 1 time. As will be agreed by most of the old school and the newer members, Lava and the Team will do their utmost to keep this the friendliest and best place to play online poker. ps after reading this tome you all have my permission to go to bed so I can win the NY Times

| Rich, it is just the level of play that is not consistant anymore. It is an age old thing to that goes way back. Its free chips that I have said before on other threads,- they have no value when you can reload as many times as you want. It has gotten worse since this new script and I beleive it is because a lot of players couldn't get their chips right away so they had to go to the ring tables to earn enough to enter the OP tourney's and larger buy-in SNG's. I think some like the easy go lucky playing of playing bingo when in all reality, if it was real money and I am not talking about penny or nickle stuff but real money, they wouldn't be playing that way at all. Thats my take on it. Did I answer a part of your question? |

| Free chips that have been given in the changeover or from the credit convertor have no value whatsoever, they werent earned in the old way as tictalk describes. I t took time and skill to build a bankroll and you werent going to throw it away on a stupid play (unless you were drunk !!). The chips earned the old way were treated as though they were real money and therefore when someone earnt a million it was a big deal it showed patience, perseverance and also skill. There always have been and always will be bingo players. However the devaluation of chips by the credit convertor , changeover and now unlimited reloads are taking their toll. It will settle down. I know I keep saying this but I truly believe it will.

| Okay, I have just about had it too. I just got fed up with the all in's at the Outlaw tourney which started 11 minutes ago. I have a Ace X, three blinds in a row only to have someone go all in. WTF kind of poker is that. I dont care if i get banned. |

| hey Rich, surely you remember when you and I used to play on the old script? There was a lot more fun chat and a lot less frantic play than there is now..but I do think that once people get used to this new one things will settle down. One thing I miss is having the 6 player tables.Poker isn't really about comfort though,lol..
