how can some of the best loved and thought of people of op66 get banned,
KINGPETE, ANNA, STARRY, KARLY,PJ, BIDLOW

this needs sorting now, so they made a mistake, but it could have been sorted with out a ban , all these people do is help others,with advice, profiles, etc,they make op66 what it is today, please unban them soon:confused

I had noticed about PJ, .. went to leave her a B-day note and saw banned, just figured it was a self-imposed thing...

well this is a shock. i have no idea why they were banned, but i'm pretty sure they didn't deserve it- as u said pam, theyr the good guys!!!

Ok ,cant speak for the rest , but before the rumours start , Starry has been banned for a month from the 4th feb , dont know the full facts but its something to do with the chat , from what i can make out its a bit of a laugh thats been taken out of context, i personally find it hard to believe that one of the kindest , most helpful , most popular, members on here would do anything to intentionally hurt another member , but you know how it works , if you dont play for cash then you aint worth s**t , Hopefully Starry and the others will be back soon ,(bloody hell the sites going downhill rapidly enough (on the FREE SIDE OF COURSE )without losing some of our longstanding favourites )

I am hesitant to further this discussion but I do want to point out a couple of things.

1. We do not discuss private matters in the forum as moderators, if at all possible, because it is between the site and the player, so no, we would not address the specifics on bans.

2. If they are a moderator or a player is not relevant in terms of TOS violations. We all make mistakes and even mods mess up sometimes and need some time off the site.

3. My understanding is that Bidlow has been restored at this point with a full understanding of what is going on and why, if he chooses to disclose that is his prerogative.

4. The banned thread that used to be on the forum was a tool for the moderators to keep track of the table violations, for the most part. It became useless based on the new system and will return once the new system supports table limits that need to be enforced. There were never specifics on the ban placed there, just general reasons and length of ban.

I understand that when someone obvious leaves the site, for whatever reasons the community wants to know why. In the case of a ban, for whatever reason, it is not my place nor any other moderator's, to disclose that information. If the player involved wishes to, that is their right to do so.

i,m sorry to hear some of the members who have been around alot longer than me have been banned but without knowing the facts what can any of us say, i just hope that its not lifetime bans and they can return that,s if they want to,i was talking to starry not long ago hope she has a good rest and comes back with her best game ever

Smudge, I hear you loud and clear. There is not a lot of fun on here anymore and I understand that if things were said and powers abused, then yes a slap of a small ban should take place. We are human, we make mistakes, let us learn from them and move on. 30 days, come-on give me a break. Since last November, this place has taken a nose dive. It's not to late to make it like it was, but we can not continue to lose the people that have made this site what it was. I am not pointing blame at anyone either, bend your rules and make the right call on this. Starry is the first person on chat that says hello and is very kind to everyone. She is also the last person on this site to say goodnight to you. Everyone involved knows what they did wrong, let it go and lets move forward.

And yes, I do know some of the details!

Tex thank you for your post but when things like this happen I think Lava should get involved. Even if to say that he has overseen the goings on and can confirm that a consistent approach has been made in all the banning decisions.

Lava was there every step of the way. This was not an overnight decision.

And what tone would that be? Posting a warning? Heres the thing. If I dont post a warning and something happens and a member is removed, thread closed or deleted, or whatever, I am the bad guy for not warning them. Now that I did, I am still the bad guy for my "tone".

i dont think it has anything to do with being a real money player, cause king pete bought a card from me at auction with real money.

and it just shows me now, that all the times that i was banned, must have been all my own doing. cause if a mod can get banned for doing something against the rules, than i now believe that i was wrong and i deserved what i got. jay
