Default op66 tourneys just no fun anymore

Don't know if it is just me or not but the BC, NY, Hetmans, Wombats are just not the same and the fun they once used to be. It was a time for members to get together, chat it up and have fun. Now it is a bingo hall! Don't mind this raising bit but just because u have an A in your hand, that does not mean an automatic all in hand.I know that bluffing is part of the game but give me a break!

I could go on and on but what's the use. Not going to change the high rollers (only in their own minds) but sure wish they would stick with the bingo tables and give us our tourneys back the way they once were.

Used to love, to see betts on the tables, she made it so much fun with all the bantering and jokes, now she has even turned quiet. Everyone opens up with hey, gl, xxx and all but after that nothing. Straight for the jugular!

Know this will change absolutely nothing, know this will not change their type of play, know this will not bring back the fun,(and stop blaming the newbies) but now I feel a wee bit better!Ah, who am I kidding, no I don't.

I dont go for the jugular Rad ..... tempting as it maybe!!! lol

All jokes aside hun, i hear what you are saying and totally agree with you.
It is nowhere near as good as it was at the tables, but im hoping that our friendships on here will be enough to keep us together, i'd hate to see anymore people leave.
As for bingo..... i spit in the face of bingo, something has to be done to bring back some sanity...please!!!

There is some truth in what you are saying Rad. I wonder if there is a case for a higher buy in for these tourneys ? It is too easy for a brand new player to enter them. The mammoth becuase of its high buy in is a much more realistic game. I'm not advocating that the buyin should be 500K for every tourney but perhaps there is a case for increasing the entry to 10K or even 50K to maybe eliminate some of the kamakazi players.

Thanks for this post Rad. Maybe my paranoia but the last few Tourny's I've played in, not many times do I get a "NH" or "WD", even today not until my last hand did anyone even speak to me, just the "gg" after I wished everyone GL.

I dont really care, but it just makes me think why should I even bother talking to others?
You and I played the same table and hand after hand at least one person went all-in pre flop. (usually one of two players but rarely both)
You feel yourself sitting there wishing someone will call and knock the person out.
The fun has gone and anyone who says other is in denial.

some truth Jock! pfff, raising the stakes would not solve the issue, they kill now for a small pot and a medal, imagine what would happen at higher stakes. And once again, it's not the newbies that I refer to. And love the term kamakazi player, that would be much more appropriate.

ah daddysean u have hit the nail on the head. Was on that table with you and sorry but I couldn't be bothered saying anything. It was awful and had all the bingo players at one table. Was wishing that I would get moved to another table or they would get knocked out but then that would have to be the whole table pretty much. Finally went all in just to get out, wishing I had not entered in the first place. They have pretty much taking all the fun out of these tournies. If you need to prove your the best this bad why not create a hulk tournament and give us our fun tables back.!!!!

Exactly Rad, the way it is, people just cant be bothered making the effort to be civil. Even people getting moved onto our table did not say anything! The people you would usually expect to say something.
I have silver medals and bronze medals, royal flushes and always aspired to get a gold medal, but now I feel the medals have lost their value.

It's a bit over the top but if things don't change.....OP66, RIP.

guess your right Sally not that I considered this my home but just a place to kick off my shoes and enjoy a Good friendly game of poker and leave the problems of the real world behind. Well that ain't working anymore, sadly! guess you have the right idea jimmy maybe staying away and only playing once in a while is the solution.

I never really played the tourneys b4, so maybe i dont know what is missing. But i enjoy the tourneys as well as the sngs. I tried to keep the chat up and try to say NH etc.(except for last night soz, felt a bit ill and not myself). Some players are on 3 and 4 tables at once, hard to chat then. After the initial bingo plays, the bets seem to tone down a bit then. Sorry the tourneys dont seem as fun anymorre to some. But i like them and enjoy them. If someone doesnt care to chat or doesnt have time, np with me i talk with everyone. good luck at the tourneys and hope everyone keeps playing them.

You must of hit a bad table then buddy, I always try to enlighten a table and join in with every convo. But dont forget m8 some players play 2 or even 3 games a time so conversation could be out of the question. Personally I love the banter as you probably all know and if I were on 2 tables the banter would be less as im not a fast typer. Steve.

I try to chat but I have to admit I give it up sometimes, not because of the people but because chat is kind of a chore for me. There is a scroll problem in the chat window and sometimes I cannot keep up with the conversation and cannot scroll back to get caught up. Also try to chat and then someone goes all in an my chat is wiped out. I can't even say GL to the all-in. Also the chat window is a little small. I have the dealer turned off completely and still find it a chore. This also makes it difficult, because if you missed the hand you can't look back and see who won. Sometimes people leave the table or get taken out or join the table and I don't even know who is coming and going. If I turn n the dealer chat I can see all that but there is a lot of other junk that makes chat impossible.

I will continue to try, but forgive me if I get frustrated and just don't respond.

I think that is a good point. Because the freerolls clash I usually end up playing two tables at a time and I'm sure I have been guilty of not replying to chat a few times because of this.

Couldn't have put it better myself jockney, the Mammoth is pretty much the best tourney of the week, where all the POKER players gather to play POKER, and a bit of fun.
I agree with the raising of the entry fee also, too many chancer in the tourneys at the minute, the first hour is spent avoiding crashing out to an A 4 off, after that the blinds are that big your playing catch up.
Raise the entry would eliminate these learners and raise the game standard with it.
I concur jockney

Sorry but this is rubbish and I mean no disrespect Declan and Jockney. You play the bingo tables and see the idiots....all in PRE FLOP 50,000!!!

Everyone said get rid of the credit converter because it encourages bingo......hmmmmm enough said I hope.

i love to chat, but i,m a one fingered typist so i keep it short and sweet, the bingo have started to enter the op66 tourneys and this has upset me a little, possibly raising the reg fee might deter them but how many good regulars would suffer?and why on earth ca,nt the freerolls and op66 tourney,s be moved apart so we all can have ago at both?,i want to play more tourneys but find myself waiting hours from one op66er to the next, yes i,ve given the rings and sngs a go but i like multi tourney tables and there,s just not enough about for my taste, things can get better or worse no one can say what the future holds but i will never give up trying to help improve this site and keep telling players there is another way to play when it comes to all in,on the rings if a player constantly goes all in i keep saying to the others to sit out till they leave sometimes they get the hint and go not always through.play your [A] game and bide your time then take them out gl anyhow m8s
